Press Alt+F11 and go to ExperimentalAtmoScale and set it to 0.6. That will make the atmosphere in a realistic scale. Usually the blue part of the atmosphere is about 60 km in height.

I built a rocket that is about 1650 meters tall weighing over 135,000 tons. It did take many test flights to get it into space. It's 3 times taller than the CN Tower and nearly 2 times taller than the Burj Khalifa. When will RVE be released for 1.1.2? And the main cloud layer has to be about 1 km high, alto layer at 6 km, and cirrus at 9.5 km.
