  1. Back when I was just starting my Mun missions for the first time I had an issue with a ship being a bit too tall and narrow and I landed on a hill just a bit too steep. My rocket tipped over slowly and I had already learned that a horizontal launch along the ground is not that great of an idea. I sent up my rescue ship which was admittedly almost exactly the same ship (took science parts off the top thinking it would help stabilize it on the hill). My rescue ship did the exact same slow motion fall as my first rocket. Rescue mission 2 was launched and I attempted, only god knows why, to land between the two rockets. I clipped my landing gear on one ship with just a bit of horizontal velocity and panicked and sent my 2nd rescue ship hurtling into my ship with my Kerbal at an alarming speed. Rescue mission 3 was not necessary
  2. I once did a trip to Eeloo (manned) and ran out of fuel while setting up my departure from Eeloo. I was lucky to have a bit of mono prop left and used that to fine tune my reentry to Kerbin. It took a couple tries and reloads but I managed to find the sweet zone and safely reentered without even skipping out of the atmosphere. This was the most awesome mission I've ever managed and doubt I'll ever get close to this again!
  3. I've pushed many times… ive also completely ditched my ship to re-enter from mun(older version). My most proud push was when I was just a bit shy of dv on a return from eeloo. Managed to re-enter and lucked into a perfect trajectory and entered in one pass and no explosions! Wish I had recorded that!
  4. This. Or sometimes I'll set rules like "only one landing per body" or "no science from minmus" to challenge myself further.
  5. Mine is named the "orbital operations program for science" it made my wife laugh so I'm sticking with it.
