(brief) Discount on steam for direct buyers? Quite some time ago i bought KSP but it was direct, but now due to having to download the whole thing every time an update comes out (update might just not work for me) and having to constantly watch my mods so they stay up to date, i just want to buy it on steam. I know they no longer hand out steam versions due to it costing money on their side but could there be a discount for people who have bought it that would equal the cost on Squad's side for giving it away? Either by buying a code from the steam web page or some form of discount. I'd be willing to pay a bit more for a steam version. If im missing some fundamental detail for why this isn't a thing please tell.

my thought is as a starter it would just be like the missile mounts, im not sure how the system knows where to lead a target based off of the missile info but i thought it would be similar to that but with the guns. If that isn't possible than even a system you could attach parts to that points to where you put the cursor and the gun itself does all the leading would be better than nothing. I would assume that would work because guns still work when you rotate them with infernal robotics. I have no idea on the feasibility but a gun thats like the howitzer that you can adjust stats on that resizes based on them (like more firepower thicker minimum barrel and armor, more accuracy longer barrel etc.) would be great by itself but better with a mount. (EDIT) having the guns so the leading not the mount would only look strange for REALLY long distances, so i think it would be perfectly fine

I've asked this before (to no response) but, what is the possibility that there will be a rotating platform for players to build their own cannons and AA guns on? (armor and cannon). Similar to the rotating pads in Infernal Robotics. My thought is it would have two joints and tracking would be based off of where the head would be firing if it was a weapon (like the missile platforms already in the game), and to make personalized tank main guns be able to change where the second joint sits on the pad (aka offset it forward/back, up/down, right/left) as to make any main gun from real life, from Abrams to KV-2 to T-18 LT. (and auto disable all gimbal on weapons attached to this as to stop over compensation and massive wobbling) If something like this was in the mod then players could make and share their own cannons, platforms, artillery and ship cannons without modders needing to model every single type of gun. (like North Kerbin Dynamics and here with the Abrams already do)

idk why they wouldn't let you do it today, it would be simple, on your account you can see the order ID of your game so just make a page that logs the order IDs and if you input your ID it disables downloads from the home page and emails a steam key to you, simple. I don't think it was more than 5 years ago because i don't see the button that quote describes, but thanks for the help though.

If you watch some of SWDennis's videos you can see he likes to attach parts to his BDArmory missiles and guns. I am unable to do this so I'm trying to edit the part files of BDA so that i can do so. I've looked and i cant find any tags that would possibly apply to the ability to attach parts radially or not, if anyone can help me here that would be much appreciated. I believe the ability to do so would help with making crafts based on a real life equivalent.

Thats cool, i guess you vould use hyperedit on moons to make atmospheses too. But a auto pilot that uses your RCS and external thrusters to dodge incoming fire on large ships would still be cool.

For about a year now I've been looking a mod to give space ship/fighters "combat AI" to move ships around, turn guns to face and to dodge incoming fire. Are there any fighter/ship AIs out yet for use with BDA these days?

Two things: - One day I rally hope that there is a tank AI module added that will look for hills and buildings for your tank to hide behind if under fire. And will go out tracking down enemy tanks. Maybe it could have an anti air and artillery mode too. - Another and possibly more important one is I hope there is one day space AI for fighters bombers carriers and battleships, this would add a whole new layer to the game and would utilize what KSP was made for. It would be so awesome.
