Not being argumentative, but keep in mind that when a company contracts another company to do work and said work doesn't get done, there is a LONG legal process to get out of the contract where they are legally not allowed to talk about it publicly until it is finished. I think @SQUAD did the best they could with a really crappy situation. That being said, I know how you feel. It was a very frustrating 5-6 months.

They have recently announced that flying tiger has been given the boot and they are working with a new company to (hopefully) finally get the console versions working. Read the OP HERE. (sorry I don't know how to do the fancy looking link). The new company actually has a ton of experience porting games and it looks like they know what they're doing, so don't give up hope. Should be ready "early next year".

Yup, I honestly don't really care if it takes until June (or later), I will wait patiently. I am just so happy to have some news. And I am even more happy that the news is that flying tiger is out of the picture. Can't wait to get back to exploring the black!!!!!

Hey, I wasn't sure where to put this and this seemed like the most suitable place. Feel free to move if there is a better thread that I missed. Anyways, I logged in today and when I tried to like a post it said "You can only like 25 posts per day". I haven't liked any posts today and I only liked about 3 posts yesterday. It seems my running total of likes are being saved up and counted towards the 25 or something. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for that. And I completely understand your frustration and agree that it wasn't cool ripping on the game and Squad devs for flying tigers incompetence.

I am cautiously optimistic that blitworks will, in fact, save the day but if I'm being honest....I don't think it is possible for them to do any worse than flying tiger. I am sure whatever they do will be a VAST improvement over what we currently have. Oh, Happy Day!!!!!

Thanks for the update @SQUAD. It was a long time coming but the silence is understandable whenever legal matters are involved. I am EXTREMELY happy to see flying tiger (not capitalized out of intentional disrespect) finally get the boot. They took an amazing game and destroyed it with their incompetence. Thanks for not giving up on us console players even though, I am sure, dealing with ft was a MAJOR pain in the rumpus. I gained a lot of respect for @SQUAD with this news. They totally could have just said "flying tiger screwed the pooch, so console is dead forever." but they didn't give up. Thanks Squad!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just make sure to deliver (which I have no doubt that you will).

Speaking as someone who purchased the game for PS4, played for 20 plus hours, then lost all of my progress, then waited 6 months for any word and STILL haven't heard anything to spite posting several questions in various posts on the forum, I wouldn't hold your breath. Its a huge bummer because aside from the gamebreaking save corruption issue this game is amazing.

I do understand, and again, I apologize for sounding like a jerk. That was not my intention. I'm just frustrated because it is such a great game and I am currently unable to enjoy it. I am not attacking the game itself. As I have said, it is a wonderful game. I just get frustrated with 1. the lack of communication about the console release, and 2. the mentality that many people seem to have nowadays about it being acceptable to release a game that is not finished. My main beef is not with Squad, it is with Flying Tiger. Squad made an amazing game and FT royally screwed the pooch on the port.

So you're saying I should go give ANOTHER $40 to a company that released a game WAY before it should have been released, and then spend another, what, $800-$1500 for a PC that can handle this game?(a really awesome game, I agree with you there). No thanks. I am sick of people saying we should just be happy waiting. I have already been waiting happily for over 4 months now. I am not happy any more. Maybe this is my age speaking, but back in my day it was not unreasonable for a person to expect a commercially released product to work the way it is meant to work starting day 1. Paying a company my hard earned money to beta test their incomplete product for them does not sound good to me. Edit: After reading over this, it sounds a lot more d**kheaded than I meant it. Please don't take this as an attack.

I didn't want to say anything (so as not to jinx it) but I was afraid that after 1.2 came out for pc that would be the end of communications from squad. Kinda seems like my fears were justified. I think I will be petitioning Sony for a refund. I have read that if you e-mail them and plead your case (game doesn't work) that they will issue a refund. This makes me very sad, as this really is a wonderful game...well, it would be if it worked anyways. Thanks for nothing squad. Way to take the money and run.

I know how you feel. My first mission, I ran out of fuel and stranded my poor kerbal in orbit. I was very upset, until I realized this just meant I needed to mount a rescue mission! Happy Kerballing.

Just to add my 2 cents worth and hopefully clear up a little frustration inducing miscommunication, I feel (and I'm not speaking for anyone else here. Feel free to plus 1 if you agree with me) its not so much the state of the console version that is frustrating us console users as much as it is the lack of communication about it. I think we all LOVE the game and that is why we are so frustrated about it not working. I/we just feel like our concerns are being ignored. I will gladly patiently wait for a working patch, I just don't want to sit and wait if it is never coming. I don't think this is an unreasonable position.
