Thanks for the advice, I'll definitely try that out. Maybe once I'm really good at meeting up and docking with the space station I'll send another into Geostationary orbit, but I'll start smaller.

What would be the optimal height for a space station, capable of being used to build extremely large rockets in space, to have a geostationary orbit? I've already developed incredibly powerful rockets (1000+ tons, almost capable of breaking sun's gravity) without mods, but it's obviously inefficient to waste fuel on escaping Kerbin's atmosphere. So, if anyone has a good system or equation to calculate any of this, it would be greatly appreciated.
