So Awesome, Can't wait for the final package. Just a note, I also ran into the parachute problem. It worked as advertised when I fired it in the upper atmo like planned. The issue I had was when I came in to fast in a bailout scenario it just ripped right off. -
Oh god bridge builder is so awesome, Pontifex is ok, but the first one was pretty ground breaking in my opinion.

it can do DAE and KML by default. There are a bunch of plugins(written in ruby) to expand it. For instance I use a plugin to export STL\'s for my printer, I\'ve also seen an autocad plugin

I tried it and had a hard time taking off, I added some front canards and it takes off like a dream Edit: on second though maybe I should of put them on the front drop tanks? Edit2: nope bad idea.

Mapping Update, Well my 45deg mapping mission finished, I shifted it into about a 75deg orbit. I also have about 18 hours of polar data from my second mission. Mission one Raw Data. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/62434044/isa_RAM_Mun_Data.csv 2. Mission two Raw Data. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/62434044/isa_RAM_Mun_Data%20_polar.csv My Polar mission doesn\'t seem to Jive with my Main mission, I had seen the gaps in the data on my polar mission from flying a higher orbit and expected it to be in the lowland area. This was not the case. Also The polar mission was actually in two parts, I got about two passes before the game crashed, then I got another mission that took some effort to get into position. These two missions have different prime meridians. While I can probably shift these two datasets to match using a crater to line them up, It makes me suspicious of some of the early points in my main file(The first crash landing) I may omit these readings. I\'ll make an update once cleaned this data up.

Mapping Update, I got about a meg and a half of data so far, Should be the same location: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/62434044/isa_RAM_Mun_Data.csv ---- So I just noticed something odd, Apparently This Maps Latitude from ~-171 to 189. You can see that in my raw data. Apparently My Mapping Software is throwing out lats above 180. I guess I\'m not sure if I should wrap the numbers around, or just bulk shift the entire dataset? Any ideas? For testing I\'m just going to offset by -10 Anyhow I\'m going to start a polar mapping mission on the second computer, These really show how much of the poles I\'m missing. North Pole South Pole. I really should grid after re-projection, but meh.

Yeah I figured this was a game limitation I\'m an idiot. It\'s cartography thing not a programming thing. GMT(Generic Mapping Tools) is a unix based mapping program. A lot of it\'s users are MAC users. http://gmt.soest.hawaii.edu/

You need to have under 4k orbit, I didn\'t start getting good data until I got the entire orbit under 3.5KM. My current mapping mission has a periapsis of about 2.95KM and a apoapsis of about 3.1KM Of course, The highest point I\'ve mapped so far is about 2.7KM. I can basically only see about 1.5KM Below the ship, so If your above 4.2KM you won\'t detect anything. Try slamming into the planet really slowly and see if you get anything. The way I tell if it\'s working is looking at mechjeb, If the true altitude is different then ASL altitude it should record. Also It doesn\'t seem to record in map mode. I may use a better grid tool when I get more data. ---- It\'s going to take about 9 days to map at this rate >.>
