  1. As always, thank you for your incredible work! This is (IMO) an absolute must-have KSP mod. It's great that you're making it better and better each release.
  2. Now that is some long-range, mini-awesomeness!
  3. Seriously, keep doing what you're doing the way you want to do it. Somebody has a different opinion, that's fine, but they don't get to tell YOU what to make/do/play.
  4. More science! That was the goal after picking up a bunch of sweet, sweet free science with my Rover Truck the other day. But this time I would need something a bit more compact to fit in all the nooks & crannies of the mini-biomes around the KSC. After some quick design & testing, I find that I rather like this little guy! Science Rover (Small) The fella with the awesome 'stache is an Investor to complete the other part of the Hotel/Casino tourism contract. He was along for the ride most of the time, but he did grab a couple surface samples! On board are the Thermometer/Barometer (from Universal Storage II mod), Magnetometer, two (2) Material Science units, two (2) Mini-goo pods, a Seismic Detector, and the Laser Surface tool. The small solar panels on top mounted at 45 degrees provided more than enough power. The boxes at the back are the Lynx Material pods, but tweakscaled down to to fit perfectly on the back of this rover. The US2 thermo/barmo wedge makes a perfect tool for the front of the rover. After hitting all the mini-biome locations (except the Launchpad), I netted another respectable 388 science. *************** Question for anyone who might know: For some reason, my rover wheels kept "screeching" like they were braking constantly. The screeching didn't impede momentum, but it made a helluva noise and threw up dust/smoke. It was really quite annoying. Anyone know what might have caused something like that to happen?
  5. Continuing my 1.6.1 Career Game, I picked up an Investor contract for a space hotel, which requires you to drive them around the KSC. I thought, "Perfect opportunity to pick up some of that sweet, sweet free KSC science." The only problem? I didn't have a decent science rover... well, problem solved! KSC Rover Science Truck It carries four (4) Material Science units, four (4) Mini-Goo pods (8 observations), a barometer, thermometer, seismic detector, and magnetometer. Between the Cockpit at the front and and the Airlock at the back, I was able to carry Jebediah, a Scientist, and the Investor. And without even getting all the hidden science locations around KSC, I netted 327 science including crew reports, et. al. This was made much, much easier using the [X] Science! mod to check off the list of experiments. Muchas gracias to @Nils277 for his awesome mod: Feline Utility Rovers. I haven't unlocked all the parts yet, but I'm looking forward to making this my standard for rovers throughout the Kerbol system.
