  1. I don't think I do. Probably the first step is to do that I guess hahaha
  2. Good to know! How do you turn up the dampers? I only see the "deploy shielded" and "start extended" options when I right click on them
  3. So I built this ship based on Matt Lowne's Eve Lander from Youtube. I made a couple of tweaks, mostly with the number and placement of small science equipments. The largest change I made by far is that I added six solid rocket boosters to the external tanks as a "stage one" to give the craft a little more oomph getting back into orbit. I've tried it several times with only the external tanks and it just doesn't have enough juice. Even when I take off from near Olympus, in the peaks region of the planet, I can't even make it halfway around before falling back into atmosphere. So anyway, I added the boosters. Only now, when I land, the legs keep clipping into the surface (I landed in the shallows this time) and then blasting out again so my craft keeps shaking violently back and forth as first one side, and then the other clip into and bounce back out of the surface. I didn't have this issue without the boosters, but I am reluctant to believe that's the only reason this is happening, since they don't interact with the ground or the landing struts at all. Has anyone else had this happen before, and how did you fix it? Also, I've tried to add the craft file but I can't get it to work. I'm not sure if the file is too big (seems less likely?) or if I'm just doing it wrong (seems more likely).
  4. On my way to the mun all my RCS ports were working fine (I mount 4, one on each side of the ship). Now that I'm back up in space and trying to redock, only one of the ports is still working. I've checked fuel levels and reloaded the game, still happening. It's throwing off my course and forcing me to use my engines for relative speed adjustment. All the ports say they're enabled and there aren't any failure warnings. Help?
  5. I've got a munar lander that I'm trying to dock to my return vessel, and I've aligned them perfectly, come in at 0.1 m/s and the magnetic attraction has pulled them together. Despite this, the ports aren't connecting. It's as if there's an invisible layer between them holding them apart at 0.4 m. The ships are now held together magnetically and in stable orbit over the mun, but I can't transfer my crew to get home. Also, I've docked in the past successfully. I don't believe that the ports are on backwards, as I had them connected when I launched. I'm controlling from the lower port and have the target set for the upper one. There aren't any kerbals in the return vehicle, nor is there a probe. Could that be my problem? Has anyone else run into this?
