  1. Welp, i'll show you the results of test of ESSP(Extra Small Science Probe).

    On the launch...

    qGlbYKU.png

Some boring work, and we are on the Mun orbit!

    JAmZT3u.png

Powered landing and :science:!!!SCIENCE!!!:science:  After doing some work, we are ready to fly away!!! Yep, this probe will give us raw SCIENCE!!! No radio! Yeah!

    bnmAsc0.png

Ascent went VERY AWFUL!!! Small TWR nearly ruined the whole mission! When it finally has been inserted into VERY LOW orbit, there was 1/7 of all fuel...
But I made it go to Kerbin. Whoo...

    1bqrplg.png

    HARD REENTRY

    xPEPCWd.png

A result of the whole mission: 26800 kg on the start, 170 kg after landing on Kerbin. Note: science landing pod did not actually land on Kerbin, it drowned!!!  :/

    I'm embarrased.

^^^ this is the launch of Orion to the Duna using atomic engines in space. Kerbal Joint Reinforcement is still not updated to 1.4.3, so everything is wrong.

    - Baikerbonur, mission state: "Zarya" is in orbit.

*aham* Zarya was the prototype of Soyuz spaceship. The real look:
    DxwFN78.jpg

As you can see, the capsule is similar to Soyuz's.

For an encore, I got my first orbiter around Moho in this career, along with putting a Surveyor lander safely on the surface.  Then a just a few days later, my first Duna Verona probe arrived, dropping a Formalhauf lander before entering orbit around Ike.  All probes & landers courtesy of Probes Plus mod

    Quetzel-ER in Moho orbit:

    vI2FSQC.png?2

Formalhauf lander above Duna - I didn't realize till now how much the Formalhauf heatshield resembles a miniature Duna

    ug7xe8b.png?2

This was my first purely aerocapture & parachute-retarded Duna landing.  Worked flawlessly.  So I'm certain the next round of probes to arrive will all sustain catastrophic failures of some kind.

    PWWI6Ei.png?2

Ok. How did you make the sphere? Mod plz?

Crew: -Baikerbonur, WE HAVE A PROBLEM!
Baikerbonur: - Umm, what is a problem?
Crew: - Escape tower has just jettisoned itself, but it also stole our living module!
    Baikerbonur: - ... WUT?!

    Escape tower: - Muhaha, lol

I'm working on a spaceship to visit Duna with 3 kerbonauts, what you see is not the final design, I have still some work to do on it.

This spaceship is equipped with a lander which will let a Duna surface a working probe. Before leaving Duna the landing ship will be transformed in a small relay station.

It looks amazing! But... Only 4 nuclear engines? Meh.

  7. Well, today - no Polyots. But, I made an another Soviet replica! *Athem of USSR* It is Zond-7 which should was an answer to American Moon mission(an analogue of Apollo-8. It means it was a Moon orbiter).

Before start. The carrier rocket is Proton-M. Notice that side fuel tanks isn't decoupleable boosters - they are a part of first stage:
    Q1YLIPg.png

Liftoff, first stage decoupling and bla-bla-bla, so the second stage:

One minute. Niw I'm working on weapons for Polyots:science:

    Oh, yes. Compare with:

  8. The replica of (not so) legendary Soviet science probe "Polyot"!

Start(the rocket is of course R7):

    Boosters gone!

    CJNgLIn.png

    The released probe:

    CosPtmv.png
    Compare with this:

    0DHf5QR.jpg

Well, Polyot was created to DESTROY American satellites but the project's budget was cut and we saw only a science probe.
But I'm preparing a millitary Polyots system... Later, I will be able to destroy crafts on servers... Muha-haaaaaa

If you want to make your challenge more attractive, you should work up a scoring system.

All entries must reach orbit in under 1:30, lowest mass wins, 20% weight bonus if you get to orbit in under 50 seconds, 15% weight bonus if your payload is revoverable, 25% weight bonus for a manned rocket, etc.

    Thanks for advice!

  10. Listen all! Let's post RAV's as images or GIFs or videos! It's pretty hard to imagine the rocket. Please. :)

Also I have an idea of REUSABLE RAV.

And yes I don;t remember that I created a new topic. I guess it because I don't know word "suggestion". *Illuminati confirmed*

  11. Here it is! A competition of RAVs (Rapid Ascent Vehicle)! Design the fastest rocket in the world!!!   Here our RULES:

    1. Attempt will count ONLY when you reached stable orbit of Kerbin in less than 2 minutes and with mass less than 70 tons. Must to be in video or detailed Imgur album.
    2. Every -second is +1 point, e.g. 2m(max) - 1m45s(your result) = 15s = 15 points.
    3. Every -ton is +5 points, the same as ^.
    4. No mods adding engines or fuel tanks or changing physics. No engines/fuel tanks clipping. MechJeb only for DV. No cheats(console/HyperEdit).
    5. Kerbal-piloted RAV is +10 points. Just. !!!No losing consciousness - +30 points(only with setting "kerbals lose consciousness when overloaded"). No overloads - +50 points. Ext. seat is -15p.
    6. No debris in orbit is +25 points.
    7. Every kerbal-passenger is +10 points.
    8. SRB only is +25 points. It is not easy.
9.Every reused stage is +30 points.
    10.  Space elevator - OVER9000 points. But stock.

    Leaderboard:

1.Bradley Whistance.  Fail because too heavy, but I will make -50 points for it. I'm his subscriber. So, 41 second is 79 points, ext seat is -15, piloted - +10p, no debris - + 25p, sum:  49 points. Good, Bradley.

  12. *Drums* The White Dragon Mission, an analogue of SpaceX's Red Dragon. The same scheme - trunk for transfer and circularizing,  "pod" is an DV(Descent Vehicle, not delta-V) with AV(Ascent Vehicle)/SRV(Samples Return Vehicle) inside. Full mass - 11 t, DV mass - 6 t, AV/SRV - 0.7 t. Here, above the Mun:

    wY80x2y.png

Also the first booster landing without loosing parts(3 "Vectors", 800 units of LF/oxidizer):

    VP1sMxZ.png

Dragon-C(Crewed) v.1 after 15 orbits and docking with station(only 3 places :( ). The first and the last Kerbin propulsive landing:

    myhlpRI.png

Docked to UKSS(United Kerbal Space Station). Notice that I'm using a heavy fuel tank instead of hollow trunk with cargo:

    YkkvQd5.png

Meet Dragon-C v.2!!! *applauds* 4 seats, hollow trunk used to carry up to 3 tons of cargo, Super Dracos must be used as ORE(Orbital Maneuvering Engines), and super new design!!!

    46V63AX.png

    VdFhDVV.png

Today we have a special mission: station escape pod delivery. So, we placed this 2-ton pod in trunk and carried it to station. We needed to call our pilot, 'cause we didn't install a probe core. Then, it flew pretty far away because decoupler was too strong. After 'catching' I entried pod and realised that I will dock... without RCS.

    j4ZawBa.png

Well, I'm playing KSP around a half of year, so I am an adept pilot. It was my first 'without-RCS' docking  . So, the result:

    yCouuwt.png

    Then, back home:

    mgnKtjL.png

    lxzYOKl.png

    YA2E7lf.png

    VPqqUi9.png

    daIi3kg.png

Wait for Dragon-C v.3 with more seats and fuel(and fixed fairings)! Also, it was two more goals: the second successful booster landing and using MechJeb only for stats and landing point. Very  !

Sorry for my English, 'cause I'm Russian and I'm only 11 years old(but I am studying Engish at school).

  13. 46V63AX.png

Meet new Dragon-C v1.1!!! 4 places, hollow trunk to carry up to 3 tons of unpressurized cargo, and also some place for pressurized cargo! Weight without any cargo - about 8 tons.

    VdFhDVV.png

Today we are carrying a 2-ton Escape Pod Module to our UKSS. Sadly, I didn't install a probe core, so we must call the pilot:

    j4ZawBa.png

Then a long story - first of all, a decoupler was too powerful, so I needed to catch my pod. After catching, I prepared for a peaceful docking. But I saw that RCS isn't working. It was my first docking WITHOUT RCS . It was exciting. And a special goal for me - I used MechJeb only for DeltaV monitoring and maneuver executing. Also it was the second successful first stage landing.

    The result:

    yCouuwt.png

    mgnKtjL.png

    Undocking.

    lxzYOKl.png

    Deorbit burn.

    YA2E7lf.png

    Reentry.

    VPqqUi9.png

Parachute landing. Why not propulsive? Because I decided to leave this engines for Emergency Escape and orbital maneuvers(because now trunk doesn't contain fuel). Why without  covering? Because I forgot what chutes don't open in fairings. Wait for next version!

    daIi3kg.png

Splashdown with henious overtipping.  Also we left our pilot onboard of station. :/

  14. wY80x2y.png

The White Dragon Mission when above the Mun. The mission was to land near the MCM Base, take a surface sample, and fly back. Trunk is used to go from Low Kerbin Orbit to Mun Orbit, and then begin descenting. Top is Descent Vehicle with a Ascent Vehicle inside. After taking samples - fairings up and ROA(Rapid Orbit Ascent - it is my private abbreviation!). Full mass - 11 tons, Descent Vehicle - 6 tons, Ascent Vehicle - 0.7 tons.

    VP1sMxZ.png

White Dragon's booster. An innovation - control surfaces on the top to control rocket at the moment between Return Maneuver and Powered Propulsive Landing.

    myhlpRI.png

Dragon-C (Crewed) version 1.0(only 3 crew members :( , in later versions it will be up to 5). Successfull propulsive landing after 15 orbits.

    YkkvQd5.png

Dragon-C v1.0 docked to UKSS(United Kerbal Space Station). Notice that it is a heavy, massive propulsion module instead of hollow trunk.

    8HvbAZE.png

    Say hi!

    0UnZJKl.png

Kerbolrise from a perspective of MCM.

  15. lfMzsy8.png

Can you guess what's this? Yes, it's a booster rocket for a part of MCM (Mun Colonizing Mission)! I sometimes use MechJeb, so now I used it. MechJeb's plan of the flight:

     1. First 30 seconds of the flight are just Ap lifting(I need to make a full thrust because I like when at 20 km above ground speed of the rocket is about 1100 m/s! *Muha-ha-ha!!!*).

     2. To circulaze orbit in space we are still using the first stage and ignoring what we must use the second stage to circulaze...(*:P*)

     3. When FeofileGrotter lefts me to land a ship on the Mun, I must DESTROY THE VESSEL! MUHA-HA-HA-HAAAAAAAA!

OK, now to my favourite topic - SpaceX's Falcon 9:

My first Falcon was 'no-mods' (and it made a selfie with teg #landednearthecactus):

    Utugm6y.png

When I constructed the second Falcon, I used FuelTanks Plus (and I didn't put the payload):

    Ik4HtFD.png

And the third Falcon was constructed using SpaceY Heavy Lifters and Kerbal Reusability Expansion(or something near) and was landed using FMRS:

    bvpoXUv.png

As you can see, I didn't land all of them on a sea platform because I'm a newbie;.;.

  16. Remembering old:

     My copy of Saturn V:

    vdC5WfV.png

An interesting space station 'Mun Gamma':

    Jhln2uA.png

I built it in Career mode without cheats(it was difficult; also I played KSP only 2 weeks when I built it). Here is a habitation module with solar panels and a 'hand-made' Rockomax multipler; and a control module with 2 Cupola modules and some batteries, and the most important thing - SCIENCE :science:!!!

Our Russian proverb says: 'All new is very forgotten old'. So good luck to you, KSPlayers! Now, to the Prograde:prograde:!!!

As the saying goes: 'Now you're cooking with gas!'

Glad you got set up.

Thank you very much. So, on the first picture there is a lander,  and on the second picture there is all MCM Base now. List of modules (sorted by date):

Holy lander; TACLifeSupport Module(rover type); little KIS box with building materials; Salamander lander (landed 2 days after 4-member crew suffocated to death without electricity) with 2 Kerbals and MORE building materials; holy KPBS habitat; KPBS MaterialKit storage; KPBS Ground Workshop; KPBS Launchpad; bigger launchpad; Kolollo lander with 3-member crew; Mobile MetalOre Minertm(not visible here). :rep:

    Yes, this ^

Go to https://www.gmx.com/ and create yourself a free email account, and use it to register Imgur with. If you don't like GMX, there's plenty of other free email hosts out there to pick from... Gmail, etc.

A while back Imgur blocked my email host, because people were using it to create accounts to access Imgur and then do massive image dumps. Not a bright idea, ruins it for everyone. So, yea, I'm currently using GMX until they unblock my main.

    Edit:
Update - A look around the web is kind of telling me that ibb.co is a blocked and blacklisted domain out of Panama, because of its owners allowing malware and ransomware to be distributed through it.

    Ok. What about this, LordFerret:

So, what's this. I have landed a small ship with 4 kerbals on the Moon. I planned to plant a flag, walk for 5 minutes and fly away. But, when I tried to fly away... *drums* ...I didn't lift. My engines were good to LAND, but for fly away... They were too small to lift this heavy ship. Then the ЛКМ (Лунная Колонизаторская Миссия for Russian) or MCM (Mun Colonization Mission for English) began.
