Let's take a look at Steam Early Access rules.
Nuff said.

It's on a timeline to be released before 2025. The game hasn't even gotten a working beta yet, further more, they do not have an alpha build yet. Their only assets and modeling so far, are considered 'pre-alpha', as corresponds with the labels in all the dev correspondence.
Once they get through alpha - and build a beta - that would require at least 4 -6 months of solid testing with another 2 or more to likely bang out any dents. Being that they'd need to hammer through an Alpha build first, that puts us, at the earliest, in 2023. Likely pushing 2024.
So, we're looking at 2023 and beyond at the earliest.Source: i made it up

I wince everytime I hear that "KSP is bad because Unity". It's not, most of kerbal's bad performance and the like comes from a bad codebase, not the engine. KSP2 is not a DLC, the entire game is different from the ground up. All of the models have been created from scratch, using the old ones only as a reference.
Still. The price is ridiculous. $60 isn't right.

I just thought about something. Competition with another agency in career mode would be something fun. A space race to spice things up.

I really want to see Star Theory staff, preferably the lead designer, reply in this topic. KSP isn't a sci-fi game, keep it realistic.
Hopefully they take note.
I'm very worried about the next-gen tech and general gameplay.

ON RELEASE ksp 2 will be 60$ so definitely no microtransactions also squad and star theory are not know for microtransactions
GTA 5 was $60 too. So were many AAA titles with microtransactions. Squad has nothing to do with KSP 2. Take Two Interactive (KSP 2's publisher) does however have A LOT to do with microtransactions.

There will not be an in-game currency that you can purchase loot boxes, or similar.
That does not sound very convincing and i'm understandably pessimistic. A simple, firm "no microtransactions" would sound better.

Please, don't get too carried away with this. Make it a realistic, Kerbal Space Program experience - not a sci-fi star wars star trek teleportation lasers fantasy.

GitHub link is broken. Download keeps "crashing" and when i manage to download it, the archive is corrupted.
Can we get a mirror?

Add space tape?

The link to the source is in the OP. You can contribute, as other do.
I'd call that response at least disappointing.
Shame that the landing autopilot won't be improved.

true, but while a change like that would be simple for you or me, programming that into the MJ module is probably a fairly complex operation, and not a 5 minute fix.
It sure as hell is worth it though.

As far as I can remember, the landing guidance has never been 100% accurate on planets/moons with atmosphere, though I'm not the mod creator/maintainer so maybe it was working at some point I'm unaware of, but I know in all the years I've used MJ I have never gotten pinpoint landing with it, in an atmosphere.
It's not even about the atmosphere or being accurate with reentries.
The landing could be easily corrected if only MechJeb decel burned for a bit longer. All it has to do is correct the course, rather than fly over the KSC Pad and decel burn past it.
-
I have a problem. When using Landing Guidance, MechJeb overshoots the KSC Pad by about 20km. Everything else goes well, it just lands in the sea instead of landing on the KSC Pad.
There's a deceleration burn, then it stops, i fly over the KSC and decelerate again well past the KSC.
I open landing guidance, click on KSC Pad, click SET and then Land At Target.
Am i doing something wrong?

I'm having big trouble with the whole landing and orbit landing autopilots, and there is no solution (or instructions on how to use the autopilots, maybe i'm blind) in the manual.
Is there any way i could contact you, so you could help me on my issue? Preferable not on the forums, because i can not send personal messages. Discord?
All i want is for the rocket to land back at the KSC Launch Pad (or at least somewhere near it), but the autopilot either doesn't land or goes nuts. Could you provide some kind of detailed instructions on how to use the landing and orbit landing autopilots? I'd be massively thankful.
