For what it is worth the x64.exe is crashing on a brand new install of 1.4.0. Is there anything on my side that could be causing this? -

I am having a similar issue. On a fresh version of KSP 1.3.1, if I run KSP through steam and select the x64 option in the steam popup it will load x64 properly, but if I try to launch KSP_x64.exe directly it will crash before even opening the game window. It does not make an error file with the crash logs.
