  1. I'm trying to configure my joystick, and the game will allow me to map buttons, but when trying to map an axis, nothing is detected. $ lsusb | grep Stick Bus 002 Device 004: ID 044f:b108 ThrustMaster, Inc. T-Flight Hotas X Flight Stick $ ls -la /dev/input/js0 crw-rw-r--+ 1 root input 13, 0 Apr 28 19:29 /dev/input/js0 $ cat /dev/input/js0 ŤZŤZŤZŤZŤZŤZŤZŤZŤZŤZ ŤZ ŤZ ŤZŤZŤZŤZŤZŤZŤZ #now I'll move the axes... ZZZZZDZ}ZZZdiZg Z Z>Zdi>ZtZZ/ZZZ<Z<ZnZZ4ZZZ<ZnZZLCZtTZW6ZjeZ\ZeZ,Z So it looks for all the world like the joystick exists and the axes are detected by the OS... but KSP won't see them. I'm running 64-bit KSP 1.0 via Steam on Arch. The last time I used this stick with KSP was about a year ago, but on the same PC, and also on Arch; it worked just fine then, with no tweaking.
  2. I'm on 64-bit Arch with the proprietary AMD drivers. After using LC_ALL=C and the 64-bit version, everything seems to be working for me... except that anything happening on the surface of Kerbin is unbearably slow. I get less than 1 fps just looking at the overhead view of the space center, and whenever I'm actually in a rocket in atmosphere I'm always in the yellow or red time stretching due to slow update rates, regardless of how complex my rocket is. If I can manage to get into orbit everything is smooth and happy, though. Any ideas what could cause that? I've already played around with decreasing graphics settings; nothing I've done there has made a difference.
