  1. Yeah can confirm, there are a wide range of bugs regarding simple decouplers (not separators) when using various configurations : - decouplers not detaching on the correct side but on both, - decouplers not decoupling at all when attached to an engine with a fairing - decouplers detaching but then being considered still attached to the ship despite being 10m away, with the behavior passing from one ship to another ship when reloading save - jettisoning a fairing between an engine and a decoupler acts like decoupling, (no more control over parts) but the ships is still connected - witnessed a decoupling but controls still remained on both the ships All this was tested on a basic Appolo - style launch, and clearly the decoupling, turning, redocking, decoupling LEM etc creates various problems, and saving / reloading sometimes changes the behavior and sometimes for the worst.
  2. Recently transformed my pyramid monster lander into a SSTO because of reasons, here is a rundown of the test drive : https://imgur.com/gallery/kYPFu Then I wanted to make a "light" SSTO to bring to Laythe (which i have never visited in hundred of hours), but i wanted it to have ISRU capabilities. Testing revealed that the small converter is pretty much useless, so i had to switch to the big one, transforming my "light" SSTO in a weird shaped monster. This new ship achieved orbit with around 2k dV left, and is currently refueling on minmus while waiting for the transfer window to Jool : https://imgur.com/gallery/4d9cZPB
  3. Hi All, Long time lurker first time poster. This thread is always nice to follow while i'm not able to play so i thought i'd participate ! Spent the last few sessions building a big (and probably inefficient) pyramidal lander with ISRU capabilities. Had to change the legs for struts because 1.4.2 reasons, and beware about the approximative symmetry, but it packs around 3600 dv and i really wanted to to get it working ; after lots of tweaking, it did quite well on a Duna mission. (Not really sure how those images will appear :x ) A somewhat similar version of it is en route to the Jool system, but i used a nuclear transfer stage that I hope to use as a small spare fuel station when exploring the different moons. Then i wanted to make it SSTO but that ended requiring a lot more rework and that's a story for another post..
