Installing Mods on the Mac

Im running KSP on my 2013 MacBook Pro (stock runs pretty good actually, relatively speaking), I just want some helpful mods to make the game easier, but won't slow down the game. For MechJeb and Kerbal Engineer, can I just plop the files in the GameData folder and I'm good to go? What about the "Restock" mod? Let me know!
