  1. I know this probably shouldn't go here, but I can't think of any place better. I have KSP on Steam, and yes, I am aware of the Betas tab. However, the tab only lets you downgrade to KSP v1.0, and I need to go further! Does anybody know if there is anyway to downgrade to say, v0.25? Any answers welcomed!
  2. Any tips for a grand tour a grand tour? Already made extreme use of the EVA pack, and stolen an idea from Stratzenblitz75's 3 parts to Ike, Duna and Minmus mission, but I need moar!
  3. Wow, thanks @HebaruSan! I knew it wouldn't be the RSS files themselves, but thank you for the eye-opener! It worked, and now I see how CKAN would help. I did not know it managed different versions for you! Once again, thank you tons! I can finally do that 100% reusable mission to Mars that Stratzenblitz 75 did (correction: attempt to do that 100% reusable mission). I will download CKAN, and learn it, because it now sounds like a pretty handy tool!
  4. Ok, so I will just say straight forward that I know how to download mods on KSP. I have pumped my game full of mods, probably about 40 of them, and I know how to do it. I don't bother with CKAN, I think it is even harder than manual install (sorry to the devs of CKAN, that is just my opinion). One day, I decided to download the RSS/RO combination for 1.3.1. I got all the dependencies, all the files, read the READMEs on how to download and install each mod, and put them in the KSP/Gamedata/ folder. There is now folders with the following names inside: Kopernicus KSCSwitcher ModularFlightIntegrator RealSolarSystem RSSDateTime RSS- Textures Squad ModuleManager.4.0.3.dll Knowing me, it will be somehting stupid. But I have checked the version, and it is actually always the outdated mods like KSCSwitcher and RSSDateTime that work, but not the RSS itself (eg the launch site in France is in the middle of an ocean). I tried downloading RO, but that had the exact same problem. Any ideas on why it isn't working would be greatly appreciated!
  5. What did I do today? All I can say is R.I.P. Jeb Kerman (splat! on minmus's surface)
  6. Ahh, thank you! I cannot wait to see how well my PC handles it (I'm hoping for at least 10 fps lol)
  7. Ok, this is a bit of a tricky one. I want to downgrade to KSP 1.2.2 so I can use RSS/RO mods, but I want to keep my KSP 1.7.3 edition. KSP is on steam, so I know about the betas tab. I just don't want to lose everything that I have done (even the only thing I have done is launched a Minmus space station). Plz help!
  8. Wow! So many responses! I will try to answer them all. The hab module has a docking port. My idea for the salvage mission was to dock a booster, get about 50m away from the station, undock the booster, then dock. No, I don't have KIS or KAS mods. Yes @Geonovast, I should have just right clicked the engine! Quicksaving when you are unsure is also a good idea. I am a relatively new player, I have only played for a few months, and any bit of advice I get helps. Thanks! @bewing that's a great idea! There are 5 normal docking ports on the hab, so I could use the spacetug in the future. The photos of my situation are below: This is my Minmus at the moment. The green orbit is the Hab module, and the gray orbit is the station. This is the Hab module overall (note the docking port on the back, almost covered by monopropellant tanks) Thanks everyone for giving me some advice on my options!
  9. So I was adding the habitation module of my Minmus Mining Station, currently in LMO, to the station core. I had just gotten the module, with 16 brave kerbals onboard, to LMO, and (yes, I use mechjeb to rendevous) I set mechjeb to rendevous with the Station Core. It was on auto-warp, but was still doing nothing. I thought that maybe the engine was turned off, so I staged it. Which separated the booster from the module itself. 16 brave kerbals are now stranded in Minmus orbit. I had a plan to rescue them with an SSTO, but then I thought 'Well, we're so close to the end of the mission, maybe I can just bring another booster. I play in sandbox mode, so money is not a problem. Any ideas on how to rescue Lizzie, Molie and the rest of the Minmus Station gang?
