After a brief hiatus because of school, I was finally able to update my science checklist that includes an entry for (what I believe to be) every possible science action that can be done in stock + dlc game. I'm not a fan of the archives section in R&D, I like to see where I need improvement, not just what I have done. Ideas and recommendations always appreciated!
In my career saves, I tend to send probes which later act as relays so for a while I will only have received part of the science available, plus things like surface samples and gravity scans take multiple readings to obtain all science for that single action. To account for this in my latest save, I put an asterisk next to the science value in the cell if there is still more to be done. Since sheets saves the value as a string and not a number, the data is justified left instead of right for completed actions. (See link for example). Helps me clearly see what needs attention and what is finished.
Since everything is alphabetized now, it is easy to select filters in archives and fill out the checklist by just running down the list.
Improvements if anyone saw my last one:
Added all available science experiments including asteroid/comet sample, magnetometers, and eva experiment
alphabetized biomes and science experiments as that is how they are found in archives
added deplorables (and realized they were global and not biome specific)
added return sample for terrain scatterers
added science for returning vessel to kerbin
prettied it up

Thank you!
P.S. I remade my account so I'm trying to get over that 5 post threshold without random posting to feel free to say hi or start a convo!
