  1. My first go at the 727. Wait until you're nearly at the end of the runway before nose up. She's built like a steakhouse and flies like a... brick but still surprisingly stable. Landing's a bit tricky. Enjoy!
  2. To anyone having solar panel issues: Make sure that the latest MuMechLib and PowerTech.dll plugin is installed in the Plugin folder. I was struggling with the compatibility issue as well. Somehow the release I downloaded didn\'t have PowerTech in it. Put it where it belongs and everything works fine.
  3. Looks incredible! Can\'t wait to try it out 8)
  4. Congrats Nova! Been wondering when they\'d finally put you on the team!
  5. DL link is dead; anyone know of a mirror or have a clean DL?
  6. Jet version looks pretty sweet! 8) I\'ll have to give it a try. I hadn\'t played around with the 'swept wing' at all (kinda forgot it existed). So I\'ll see what effect it has, might be good for the tail end. I\'ll try the props later tonight if I get a chance, should be interesting to see how it performs.
  7. I\'ve had the same problem. Especially after a full orbital trip, I find myself without sufficient fuel to stabilize the thing for a landing. (Hence switching the cockpit to a mun rover).
  8. Kerbal P-38 with Damned Aerospace Prop Mod *More unstable agile than stock model due to Jeb\'s clever omission of vector thrust engines!* Kerbal P-38 Stock Very stable aircraft, make sure to climb to thicker air before trying some aerobatics. Original WWII P-38 Fighter Some design sacrifices were necessary to make the thing flyable (and build-able, for that matter). - Due to the insane amount of lift in the forward section, the outboard wings had to be shortened and their overall look simplified as compared to the original. - Separated tail section due to construction constraints (wing boards clip inside the fuselages if turned 90 degrees; struts help strengthen the aft section anyway) Enjoy!
  9. Awesome ship! I\'ve been toying around with the nose section to allow a few more exploration choices once the ship is out of fuel: I\'ve swapped out the C7 cockpit for the stock MK1 command capsule mounted on a 1m MechJeb module with the HSTW Mun Rover (attached .craft file). Not the most aerodynamic looking machine, but it works. I\'m still seeing quite a bit of unwanted control surface correction if AdvSAS is stuck on the thing, but it flies well without it. I\'ve also managed to maintain SSTO and similar fuel efficiency (315 fuel after circularization).
