What is your fastest low altidue aircraft?
xclusiv8 replied to katateochi's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I sure am. Love the FAR mod. Makes planes behave more like planes and less like flying bricks It needs more attention to detail when building the planes though. -
What is your fastest low altidue aircraft?
xclusiv8 replied to katateochi's topic in KSP1 Discussion
My fastest so far. It can go faster but for some reason parts start to fall of once I hit above 300m/s. -
What sensitivity and deadzone settings do you gusy use? I've been trying to set it up but I cant find the sweet spot. If you are using a ps3, xbox360 controller. What are your settings like? Thanks.

First probe that made it to Duna!! Landed its rover package successfully =)

I find it rather annoying that everyone seems to think they are the first in the world with this discovery. Instead of doing a search and some research we have to put up with these kind of threads each week. The Solar Gamer: It was not an asteroid, more like another planet the size of mars. An asteroid could not have brought enough mass or shot up enough mass so that the moon could form.

I am stunned at this fact!

Not on consoles! Minecraft is worth getting. Its a lot of fun if you like building stuff. Its even more fun to build on a server with other people. Im talking about the pc version of minecraft.

Shouldent the stack decoupler be 'higher' up or the lander lower so that the engine is inside the decoupler? Is it not that way in the real rockets? The engines are hidden from view untill the stages separate. Thanx

I dont know if someone has already posted this but I just found out that if you build a spaceplane in the SPH you can import that plane and attach rockets and such onto it in the VAB. Take the .craft file from the SPH folder and put it in the VAB folder. Open the .craft file and edit the line 'type' from SPH to VAB. Save it and you are done. This makes it so much easier to build shuttles and launch them. If this is common knowledge then mods feel free to delete the thread.

I need technical assistance with my new rocket
xclusiv8 replied to Pawelk198604's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I dont really understand what you are asking. What is it you need help with? Upload your rocket and possible a picture so we can help you. I assume English isn\'t your native language? -

Can someone shed some light on the term IVA?? -
First Mun landing in 0.16. =) Did it the russian way, sent one alone.

How you time your trip for catching the Mun???
xclusiv8 replied to Kodiak's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
I usually go with the well established technique of 'well this feels about right' =) -
Most that build space planes do it with a 'rocket' mindset, meaning the space plane lands with landing legs pointing upwards. The challenge is to create a space plane that can land on its wheels just like it would do on Kerbin. It does not have to roll forward like it would on Kerbin. VTOL landing is allowed. The two rules are: 1. Always land on your wheels. 'Horizontally' 2. Only use spare parts. Happy building

My laptops hard drive crashed at the age of 6 months =(

Hehe I might try that. Land it on the Mun

Launched my first space station =) It was no easy task to haul this heavy thing up into space. Trying to build up some speed. I actually had two stages of boosters in the middle section but they burned out and I jettisoned them. Its amazing that they didnt damage anything on the way down =) Doing it the kerbal way! Trying to do a gravity turn. I almost tipped over. Just jettisoned the main stage. Trying to achieve orbit at 200km Made it into orbit and just jettisoned the last stage.

Interesting info on real space computers....

Something to remember, less lines of code equals less things that can go wrong. Belive it or not but the computes aboard modern airliners are running a Microsoft OS. It\'s around 10000 lines of code and has no bugs. Windows has millions of lines of code. -
You don\'t need the SAS module with all rockets. For most rockets the ASAS is more than enough.

So I just watched the film. I know, I know, a little late right. But better late than never. Anyway, I don\'t really know what to think about it. I think of myself as a major sci-fi fan but this was just weird. Sure the special effects and models are all great and the start is great and has some mystery over it but what the hell is up with the ending. That freaking acid trip during the last 30 minutes?? Bunch of colours and shapes for like 20 minutes and then the end scene. The rooms, Dave seeing himself. Nothing is really explained. If Dave is all alone in this place, where does he get his food from. Is he a lab rat for some super advanced alien species??? The all powered mice from the hitch hikers guide to the galaxy???? AHHH BRAIN CANNOT COMPUTE!!! What\'s up with the freaking monolith. AHHHHH BRAIN OVERLOAD ??? ??? ??? ??? Anyways, dont see the greatness in this movie. The cinematics are great, the production values are great but the story is..... I dont know, weird. What do you guys think? What are your explanations?

I\'ve been at this for ages now. I just cant get the two ships together. This is the closest I\'ve come. How do you guys do it? Is there a tutorial on how to do it?
-
Something went horribly wrong.... Thank god I\'m on Minmus and that the low gravity didnt destroy anything on the ship. Now to get it up straight again =P
-
Much better than mine!!! Superb work =)

First time seeing minmus this close Minmus orbit (Also first time) Minmus landing. I landed on a slope. thank god i didnt tip over and explode Been having problems with the plan change manoeuvres. So I\'ve been tumbling around in space trying to catch Minmus for a while now. Finally I made it!!! The rocket is a major success. I had so much spare fuel that i could correct for all the major mistakes i did. I actually shot myself out into solar orbit and back 3 times :-[
