    After playing some more for a little while I can pretty much confirm that crash was a one time coincidence and that the mods are definitely what's causing me to crash

    After removing all my mods I managed to fly to the moon and back to kerbin without crashing, although I did crash on the loading screen after recovering my vessel, I don't know if it was a rare coincidence or not, but I did get more playtime than I usually get with mods. (Also with mods I just randomly crash during flights)

    This is what I always do, it still doesn't work.

    For some reason when I use the maneuver node I never end up where I’m supposed to be. For example, when I used maneuver node it said my apoapsis is going to be 90km and my periapsis is going to be 85km, but I ended up with 242k apoapsis and 45k periapsis.
