    Hi!!!

yeah... i have like 1 recording of us in allstars screwing around on dancing men from my iphone but it sounds like crap (like i said... screwing around) but i think i could get it. ill see if i could get some other recordings of our performances from friends/old teacher. i like the conn 1.5C with the lathe idea. i used the 1.5C for concert band, and the bobby shew for marching because it felt like a pillow on the lips. i am a complete noob on google+ because i dont ever use it, but i do have an account... my google account is [email protected]

    Hi!!!

we played a bit of Maynard Ferguson, and a lot of Gordon Goodwin, at least one Gordon Goodwin tune in every performance, we never played watered down songs. we were the top jazz band in our district and won many awards, we even went to a competition in Florida and took home first prize for jazz band. i personally was only good at playing super high notes with good tone and in tune, i almost never wanted to take anything down octaves and if i were to solo, which i was terrible at, it would be in a fast song and it would be a 'High note solo' i could not sight read for my life but every time we would get a song i would take it home and just play every hard part until i got it down... which was often. in High school i was lead in the district honer jazz band (Longmont Allstars) and that was more of a professional band that went and did gigs for money. it was not funded by the district, or really a part of the district except the kids were all in the same district and the teacher used to teach at the school district. My highest note was the D above the D above the staff (6 lines above the staff) and that was at the end of Dancing Men by buddy rich during a performance. in The Longmont Allstars we played a lot of old school easy dancing swing songs. we would however play very long sets ~3 hours, 4 was our longest and we always ended with 'in the mood'. Im not playing this semester however i will be next semester, i have not lost my range but i have absolutely lost all my endurance. i am thinking about minoring in music, but im still not sure if i want to deal with the extra work load. don\'t worry... i will still play in jazz if i dont minor in music i totally think my trumpet (\'76 E-Benge professional jazz trumpet) was a lot of the reason i could play high... not only could it hold on to notes way up there where other trumpets i played on couldn\'t, but it would help keep them in tune too. when i first started lead i went from a 1.5C mouthpeice (i know... it hurt a lot), to a shilke 11A4A which is a pretty average lead mouthpiece my, then senior year to a bobby shew lead mouthpeice which was the most shallow thing in the universe but had amazing tone quality for a shallow mouth piece and really just expanded my endurance so i could play higher for longer, the old lead in allstars had one and told me to get one because we started switching off songs my junior year and his senior year. one of the reasons i was so good senior year is because we didn\'t have any good players the class before us, so my friend and i were forced to become section leaders junior year which is when i first started lead (we weren\'t bad though). we had 5 trumpets, 4 alto sax\'s (i think) 2 tenors, and 1 bari, 3 trombones(1 kid played bass trombone), and a hand full of kids in the percussion/guitar section. p.s. i could go on for ever lol

    Hi!!!

Hi, i am not entirely new to the game, but decided to make an account in order to be a part of the community. lets get started, i am 19 and a freshman at University of Colorado at Boulder, i am majoring in Aerospace Engineering (which is why i love this game) and my hobbies are off roading, paintballing, mountain biking, gaming, modifying my car, paintball gun, bike, everything i own more or less, and i enjoy listening... i know... everybody\'s favorite... dubstep =P , (i took a music tech classes in my highschool which led me to enjoy bassy electronic music) i play trumpet, more specifically lead trumpet in jazz band. I assume i am probably one of the few Mac users here, my current set up includes a macbook pro 15' with intel i7 2.2 quad core processor, 6 gigs of ram, Radeon HD 6750M GPU with 1024mb of VRAM which will sync with a intel HD Graphics 3000 with 384mb of VRAM if needed, and a 500gb 7200 rpm hard drive, i also have a windows 7 partition on it, however i dont usually use or need it. i am not any sort of fanboy of any type of object (I dont care for mac vs PC, PS3 vs. Xbox (i have both anyways) ect.) i will be building a custom computer tower this summer. my primary source of income is working at a small pizza shop called Pizza Plus as a cook, this summer i hope to get a temp job, or some sort of intern job at Lockheed Martin, or Magpul. (i have buddies at both places that could easily get me a job). in game i have landed on the mun with vanilla parts with one ship, then i made a new one that had an ion thruster, heat sinks, uulage boosters...8 and lunar lander mods (before .14 was released) and made it there and back, nowadays i am trying to figure out how to make a cool yet successful mun rover with the newer mod KSP cart, i haven\'t played with it too much, just some on kerbin experiments
