Hey Everybody, I finally figured it out! Thought I'd post the solution here just on the off-chance that someone else has the same issue and sees this thread: The issue was the relationship between the Breaking Ground expansion and the old Space Suits. The old suits still had the jetpacks drawn on t hem by default but didn't allow the new inventory system. (No inventory slots would appear on EVA or in the VAB or anywhere else) As soon as I tried switching to the new suits, I was able to add them into the kerbal's inventory and use them as per normal. So if anyone else has the same issue CHANGE THE SUITS! Thanks everyone!

Yeah, I've tried all of that unfortunately. But I appreciate it all the same. Even if the thrust is limited you can usually still see the animation in which the RCS controls flip into the Kerbal's hand and the RCS icon lights up. None of that happens.

Hello Everyone, I hope to seek your wisdom with a problem I've been having. If this issue has already been addressed please send me a link to it! I've searched high and low for solutions but it's always possible that I've missed something. Also, I understand that a clean re-install and de-mod may be my only option. But I'd like to try and get a fix here before I resort to that. So I've updated KSP and my mods after leaving it untouched for several years. And whenever my kerbals are out on EVA the jetpack just will not activate. No matter how many times I hit R, or click the icon directly, it just won't work. RCS works fine when on-board any craft, however. I've read in a couple of places that there is a setting in GameData that can be tweaked to deal with this issue but I've had no luck discovering whether or not that's true. It's a surprisingly limiting glitch. My KSP build: 1.12.2.3167 Breaking Ground: 1.7.1 Please let me know if there's any more information I can provide that would be useful. Any help the fine denizens of this forum could provide would be great appreciated!
