Haha, spoke too soon. 5 years later and I'm in the process of deleting a completely bricked, corrupted save.

Currently on a spacewalk with my engineer, because I realize I forgot to put a docking port on a vessel I intendes to rendezvous with my station, but I'm at a loss because no construction hook icon appears in the top left. As far as I've researched Engi doesn't need a specific level to perform construction. There's no option when I expand the kerbal's action list either. Halp pls? I'm finding absolutely nothing about this online, other than people not realizing they weren't using an engineer.

Background: After detaching my probe and moving it to a different orbit around minmus I went back to my main ship to position it as needed. It's unmanned, but has another probe controlling it. Problem: Come to find I can only pitch up/down, I've had this trim issue before so i immediately checked, saw it was set on pitch. Used the bumper/L3 to clear it and... For the first time ever, it didn't work. Attempted...: I messed with SAS, tried the command with it on, with it off, I went to tracking station and came back, no dice. I turned trim off completely in settings, something I should have done looooooong ago, came back and the TRIM WAS STILL SET?! Tried it again, nothing. Quit to main menu, came back, nothing. Restarted game. Restarted ps4. I'm at a loss. Nothing I do can clear the trim. What am I missing here?
