  1. SAS seems to respond to even the smallest deltas in pitch/yaw with full force application of a flight surface, vector or gyros. IDK how it worked in KSP1 because I didn't play it much but in this case its pretty noticeable because like the guy said above, if you build a rocket a particular way it will act like it is having a seizure with SAS going berzerk until the ship rips itself apart. The same thing can even happen in deep space and it seems like it'll happen particularly often when Timewarp is used.
  2. Ive seen this happen many times now, and when I am able to view the craft before it blows up it looks like the components are having a seizure and they start shaking and the ship blows itself up. I don't know how else to describe it. My theory in my head is that it has something to do with SRS. It feels like SRS can and usually does overcorrect for things, meaning oscillations just keep getting amplified until the ship blows itself up.
  3. Set up: (I put my craft in space to remove some confounders with strong gravity or aero effects). Put a craft in orbit. Disable SAS. Create any maneuver. Rotate the craft so that it is perpendicular to the heading indicated by the maneuver. Enable SAS w/ Maneuver heading mode at 1x timewarp and observe the craft rotating toward the maneuver heading. Set timewarp to 2x while the craft is still not yet pointed toward the correct heading Expected result: SAS will continue to track toward the chosen heading in 2x timewarp Actual result SAS will lock in the current direction until timewarp is set back to 1x Additional observation: While timewarp is set to 2x, the small green arrows in the navball show that SAS wants to change pitch and yaw, but nothing happens (so long as timewarp is set to >=2x
