For anyone else having these issues, try pressing V to change the camera controls. I must have fat-fingered V and changed mine to celestial camera, which led me here but nothing fixed my issue, and then I looked at camera controls and saw an entry called Flight Camera Mode. GLHF and I hope this helps someone! .
