  1. I don't think it's unfair to say there's a disconnect between the way the game is presented in the (relatively) massive advertising campaign/Steam store page and what the game actually is right now. You might have gotten exactly what you expected, but you're on the forums, probably listen to developer interviews and read news about the game. The vast majority of players do not. I think the reviews bear this out. I know that most of this is publisher stuff, not developer stuff obviously. But it does make this list of known issues very, very funny, and in my opinion, a little dishonest. They clearly knew about so, so many more (and more important/gamebreaking!) issues than this. What an odd choice.
  2. I've looked and haven't seen any collection of the bugs with workarounds and what they are. So here's one, in case it comes in handy for anyone else. I can't remember all the ones I've heard off the top of my head, so please add to this list if you've seen a bug and found a way around it. It might be a little before this patch, and being able to avoid some of the myriad bugs will help other players avoid frustration. First, some general tips to avoid bugs: Start a new save file/campaign for pretty much every mission. The saves are pretty broken right now and this seems to help. FPS is low when looking at planetary bodies. If launching is taking too long you can look at the sky to help. Mech in the discord says "I wish someone would pin this until the patch comes out (assuming they fix it) 'DO NOT PUT YOUR ROOT ANCHOR ON ANY PART THAT WILL GET DISCONNECTED FROM YOUR SHIP DURING STAGING!' and it's good, good advice. Don't try complicated missions or overly complicated rockets. Quicksave often! Landing legs cause fuel to drain from upper stages Attaching the legs via decouplers seems to avoid the issue Some people have said the smallest and biggest legs don't have this problem (didn't work for me) Loading a save causes ship to explode/parts of ship to disappear/ship to do all sorts of freaky stuff Try loading the save a few times. Sometimes it works. Sometimes you have to load a save before your most recent one. Vessel destroyed dialog/craft exploding "First pause the game. Now close that window, not revert/or quickload, click the X in the corner. Now, move your camera around and try to double click your vessel that was "falling." If successful, you will now find yourself back in control of the ship. Now this won't work every time. Sometimes parts will keep popping off, or other physics errors may continue. But at least now there is a chance your mission can continue." -- Talon Jasara in this reddit post Fairings won't build in the way of a deployable antenna's deployed size Attaching the antenna after building the fairing seems to work, but it might clip through the fairing during flight Kerbals disappear after recovery Fill a pod with the kerbal manager in the VAB, and they should reappear at the bottom of the crew list No Comm Net connection after staging Can be fixed sometimes by making sure the probe core that loses connection is the anchor part Not always though, so might just wanna turn off the comm net entirely in settings Tracking station maximum timewarp limited to the maximum timewarp of the last vessel controlled Put a rocket or something at KSC, switch to it, then back to the tracking station Craft spinning out of control/SAS broken Only restarting the game has worked for me Wobbly rockets/no autostrut/wet noodle rocket Use regular struts like crazy and build wider Orbits are unstable/change Use higher orbits right now. No 8k orbit lunar probes for you! Largest landing legs are broken/disconnect from the craft/go in the ground/etc Don't use them is all I've got, sorry Docking is broken Don't
