  1. I get this error when i switch mode using the parts manager but not if I use an action group
  2. - patch 1 (also tested before patch 1) - Windows 11 - GPU: RTX3070, CPU: AMD ryzen 9 7900 (12 core) - Expected behavior: switching panther mode to afterburner compresses the nozzle all the way, creates shock diamonds, and then nozzle expands all the way - Observed behavior: switching mode using the parts manager while in flight makes the nozzle small and starts shock diamonds, but the nozzle will not expand (using action group works as expected) - to replicate: set up a panther with mode toggle on custom action group and launch. switch to A/B using action group, switch back, and switch to A/B using parts manager (right click on engine and change mode selector) here is a video that shows the bug happening
  3. Well I must have a glitch then? Mine stays closed all the way. Is it related to amount of air intake or something? I can share a video later, but when I switch they get tiny and then shock diamonds and thrust increase and never expand
  4. I’m not sure you’re using afterburner mode then. Do you see the shock diamonds? mine always closes all the way and slightly opens at higher altitude
  5. What altitude and have you actually switched to afterburner? Mine does not open up. also, it’s still incorrect. An afterburner will never compress at the nozzle even at sea level. Technically it should expand as you go higher up, but it should always be smallest area when in cruise mode and biggest area when in afterburner
  6. Not in 2, switching to afterburner makes the nozzle as small as possible
  7. The panther jet engine nozzle gets as small as possible when in after burning mode. This is backwards to real life. An afterburner nozzle will expand due to the exhaust gases being supersonic and it should be at its smallest during highest thrust without afterburner. i want to say that this was even done correctly in KSP1. btw I love the shock diamonds and the new look of the engine, it just bugs me that the nozzle is wrong especially since KSP has so much realism to it
