Has anyone actually sat and flew a plane around Kerbin?
JKpart replied to JKpart's topic in Mission Reports
Same. at first I was exciting, but then after about 1/4th the way, I kinda just let the plane fly... It was balanced and trim'd right enough to let it do its thing. No adjusting or anything. Tried to plan it where the flight would be day time, but I was going to slow, and had to land in the dark, lost a wing if I remember correctly, but the KSC was lit up enough. I wanna do mun with a rover next. I'd like to see if I can trace my path. or at least mark it The kerbin flight, I didnt have to touch anything. The rover, i'm going to... I dont think there is an auto pilot for rovers. -
made this comic with Jeb and Val... Kinda similar to your idea

I hope you like it. People in discord did. Idk, maybe I'll make more? https://imgur.com/a/lyQ5HRj had to shrink the pictures in this link.

RPG Element for kerbals.
JKpart replied to Kingzzor's topic in KSP2 Suggestions and Development Discussion
i like this. The RP for players and their kerbals. I suggest they add a museum to include things like this. I think adding more playable interactions via Kerbal to Kerbal would be a wonderful idea for when multiplayer comes out. do you think we can build this idea together? Come up with more of a solid plan for the kerbals? My main idea is to get players to interact more with the kerbals when Multiplayer hits so that we arent stuck like every other new'er game with multiplayer, No interactions. BG2 you just play the game. No emotes, no interactions, no sitting, talking, or anything. Same with a lot more games, multiplayer should be more for a big community like this. I'd like to see this unfold -

Suggestion: KSC Museum
JKpart replied to JKpart's topic in KSP2 Suggestions and Development Discussion
Not only that, but going to your friends Museum and checking their stuff out. Socializing, and adding a roleplaying element to it. Or, a way to share your stuff with the public. Imagine the stories you could share. How missions, parameters, and even kerbal-like missions that kinda dont work out perfectly. There was other games that did this in ways, where in multiplayer, not only get to join and help and do with, but look back at what was done. A good way to snapshot progress to share. I'm not trying to push this to be done. I just like to debate. ^-^- 10 replies

i already have a really cool idea I'd like to share! I know busy people are busy, and hard to slip in thing in an already 'thing' filled schedule, but i'd wanna know what people think of it! Its helped me through covid and the social interactions. Its kinda simular to another game, but I think it would be perfect for KSP2 and Muliplayer ^-^

Suggestion: KSC Museum
JKpart replied to JKpart's topic in KSP2 Suggestions and Development Discussion
to make it easy, you would have the side library on the left, you get to see 1 at a time. Each time you launch, you can 'right click' cockpit or something, Option like: Record from here Possible screenshot for poster background? Add some cute flair. Creative screenshot moments for creators. I'm not sure how to code or anything like that, so idk if it would work. Imagine this: You just find out your new friend plays Ksp2. You are invited to join his game. You go visit his museum, and you start from planet, to planet, going through each build and what it was used for. Some of the 3d models of the craft are just a lander leg that was recovered, but the background image is a glorious trip to Duna! your friend laughs. "Yea, keep going, you'll see the rescue mission!" Idk, thoughts? Does anyone remember playing Animal Crossing on the switch during covid? Lets make that same social "Show and Tell" they had with bugs and animals...? but with rockets and other near misses? Updated picture if you are interested.- 10 replies

Suggestion: KSC Museum
JKpart replied to JKpart's topic in KSP2 Suggestions and Development Discussion
something like this a camera system to pan around and stuff. Allowing multiplayers to visit and see your adventures and stuff. Really push for social interaction for mulitplayer. A good jump forward to do something on the side as kerbins. a bit of Role playing- 10 replies

Suggestion: KSC Museum
JKpart replied to JKpart's topic in KSP2 Suggestions and Development Discussion
BASICALLY you have something like this, optional, and you get the stats of the ship, or some notes you wanna put down. Something to keep ships in view so you can feel accomplished? I've been to the Nasa Space Museum and I think doin something like that would be cool in game..... in the VAB or something, you can have the option to add to the collection, or, after a mission, you can Recover, OR send to museum....?- 10 replies

I'll whip something up in photoshop later to explain this better for Visulizations. In Ksp1 I always parked ships somewhere and placed a flag to say what the ship was, and what it did that was great. Like a mini personal space museum. My idea, is that we could have somehow place ships that would not have a poly count, maybe a img or something resembling the ship. and just be able to write about it, what it did, who drove it, how far, and other mission stats. idk, I'd think it would be cute. I know, it would take a long time to be able to do, but LET ME PHOTOSHOP something for you all to see what I mean. I'll try my best to get it looking like its in-game already stay tuned for some nice photoshop work

I'm going to try to park a jet in it. Got to design one for that reason. Much Wing surface area... I can take that lander can that I used for size. Just guess on how large I can get. Wanna get it snug, without breaking things.

Hello! I'm kinda no one. More of a fan of those who are here. I've played KSP more than any game I own. Still a fraction in comparison, but we're here for Adventures, not comparisons. Much like the majority here, I jumped in Ksp without knowing what to do. Blowing up was my motivation to learn. (poor kerbals) Now that ksp 2 is out, I'm going to try to be part of this community, rather than watching everyone else be that community. I have really nothing to contribute, but thats okay. I just really like the game. Me, personally, I have autism, adhd and stuff, so my 'rants' and excitement are kinda explosive, but thats just part of my character. Nice to meet you all, and I hope that I can one day contribute something that I know I am good at. I like to fly things in ksp more so than I like to try to travel the distance, (Tho, I did once sit at my pc for 5 or so hours to make sure a plane can circumnavigate Kerbin properly. That was cool. Just learning about Aviation and such, cant say KSP2 is the Perfect way to test that, but still, good fun. Thanks for building this, being this, and making this whole community happen. I'm very happy with the results of KSP2 so far. I mean, hell, the cinematic trailers make me cry each time I watch it. I really love what this community can do. Its inspirational

So we all love to do this! I found a new Needle with the For Science! update. I'm trying it now, I'll screen shot or something if I can pull it off. Kinda wanna see if I can park a kerbin in this...
-
Like, sat there for ~5 hours and watched it all happen? I had to put unlimited Prop on so I can make the trip, otherwise, i sat there and circumnavigated Kerbin at about 6000m up and going about 127m/s Took a polar direction, and ended up having to find KSC in the dark. spooky

Reported Version: v0.2.0 (latest) | Mods: none | Can replicate without mods? Yes OS: Windows 10 | CPU: i7-4770k 3.50GHz | GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti | RAM: 20GB I've never really cared about a game to where I had to 'report a but' till ksp. I'm not sure how to exactly go about doing this, but I wanna help dev team as much as I can. Okay I updated FOR SCIENCE! and loaded a saved game. Went in VAB and there was a ship in there already. I was trying to add a part in VAB and it would not let me click on anything. The 'green outline' showed up on the parts, and 'click' sounds were there, but there was no physical interaction with -anything- So, I left VAB and this happened.Example 1 The KSP bg sound was going on, birds and such. But the view was this. Oddly, I was still able to have those "Green lines" interact with my mouse, but clearly... not in VAB menu. While this was going on, I had no control over anything other than those moving-the-mouse-over-things interactions. Otherwise, nothing was really 'clickable' I did the file integrity thing, started a new file, and it was fine. I still have the other save file on hand if I need to look into anything from here. Also, not sure if this is anything either, but this what the steam icon that I had after the update. I think its still like this? idk... But heres a pic. example 2 I hope this can help in anyway to progress the games dev. jkpart- (dont tease me about how old some of my PC is....) LOL Idk how to find any other information about this bug, but I'm willing to be contacted to help figure that out for you all. .ipsImage { width: 900px !important; }

Be cute to include parts where kerbals break the 3rd wall, or Scott Manley voices an elder character, wishing them well, and to fly safe. Or also bring in other members for the movie. I know its a lot to do, and reality takes hold of having cool ideas. But, gotta admit, it would be cool

accidently posted this twice somewhere in the forums. If a mod doesnt catch that at first, i'm letting someone know
