For the colony update to KSP2 I think it would be a good idea to be able to be able to deploy runways from colony bases. Landing shuttles is quite difficult on rough surfaces, and it would make sense for a colony to create an easier way to do so. It would also make sense to have landing platforms that rockets or landers can land on, and from there, without having to connect any other machines, just be able to fuel the craft through the launch pad (Just land and then it auto fuels from attached fuel tanks).
