Can't attach control surfaces to wings

Ahaa! cheers, where did I miss the tutorials for the planes haha. -
Can anyone help, i can\'t atach the two surfaces together they wont click in place at all, I have even tried downloading a plane and taking off then re attaching and it wont happen.

I can\'t take off in a space plane. Every plane I build just speeds along the runway and it won\'t go anywhere, im pressing all the directional buttons but all it does is eventually flip the plane over.
