Should I play KSRSS, RSS/SMURFF, or RSS/RO?

[1.12.x] Space Dust - Atmospheric and Exospheric Harvesting (9/10/2024)
JD_ replied to Nertea's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I talked to Jade and according to him, RR resource distributions are programmed to override all other mods and provide 2 things, certain templates for biomes (to allow for polar ice abundance, etc.), and also configs that create resource distributions based on what the composition of a given body is supposed to be (so Duna has extra CO2 for instance.). As I said before, RR is supposed to override all other mods, including spacedust, but when I open spacedust from my toolbar, it shows banded resources for the atmosphere and exosphere a la spacedust configs. So my main point of confusion is: is one mod overriding the other? or are they overlapping resources? and how do the scanners between mods interact with one another? I see that they are now programmed to have multiple resource scans, which fit into CRP off of which both mods are based, but I'm not sure if these scanners only work with resources configs from their native mods or not (which could yield various results if one mod is overriding the other or if they are overlapping). -
I see, out of curiosity, how does RR compare with SD when addressing resource complexity in atmospheres? I need to keep SD because it's a dependency of FFT, which is all fine and dandy since it comes with harvesters and harvester support (for FFT I guess), and in game right now, I see that the SD scanners are fully compatible with RR atmo/exo resources. So all I'm wondering is how does RR organize atmo/exo resources? does it have a similar band based system as SD with rings and spheres or is it just random blotches similarly to ground resources? I'm gonna run some errands now but when I get back I'll see how various scanners interact with RR and provide an update.

I mean my mining scenario is mostly on the surface (mainly establishing bases wherever I can find water so I can get HydroLox), so RR takes priority there, but as I said, they both share CRP resources. I'm sorry if my questions are getting tedious, as I see you haven't made configs for spacedust specific resource bands, but I am wondering, which mod takes precedence when it comes to atmospheric/exospheric harvesting? Does RR override all other resource distributions?

I see. So it seems I will have to pick and choose between using spacedust and RR since there is considerable overlap in what they provide and how to access it, leading to likely conflicts. Edit: I see both mods actually use CRP resources but RR is configured to override other definitions of said resources, so I should actually go ask SpaceDust side if SpaceDust scanners are compatible with RR distributions.

[1.12.x] Space Dust - Atmospheric and Exospheric Harvesting (9/10/2024)

I see. Also, both RationalResources and SpaceDust have atmospheric and exospheric versions of H2, CO2, Ammonia, Antimatter, LqdHe3, and a whole litany of other resources. Are there conflicts between the two when it comes to these resources? will one override the other? will SD scanners fail to see RR resources and vice versa? I'm generally confused as to how these mods interact. -
So if I was to use a stock scanner on jool (or say, jupiter), it wouldnt work as it is an ore scanner and there is no ore, but if I'm looking for harvestable H2 I have to use an RR scanner? Furthermore, given that Nertea's SpaceDust is an FFT dependency and has atmospheric/low space resources, I was wondering: does RR have compatibility for those resources? or do the two mods clash as both of them have atmospheric and low space resources? Also, does the stock system have configs for polar ice caps for instance? or are resources also random there? And just to confirm, you did not add RR configs to the stock scanners, rendering them obsolete for RR resources, correct?

So the resource distribution will be random? Also I've been meaning to ask: how does RR interact with stock ore scanning parts? do they also work am I required to use the native RR scanners?

Is there a mod compatibility list for RO? I've seen that it aggregates parts from various other mods and/or patches parts from those mods but I'd like to know which mods specifically this applies to.

Does this mod work with RSS? and furthermore; does the LqdHe3 resource from FFT work with RSS? (asking here because I'm not entirely sure its native to FFT) -
Is this mod RSS compatible?

I fully assembled the LSS (Lunar Service Station) by repurposing the transfer stage LH2OX tank that carried the habitation module (this was assembled in 2 launches, one for the core module, which was an RGU as well as a truss that adapted for further construction and a solar array). I then sent a lander that was only descent capable to the station as well as a lander with no payload capacity and only fuel tanks. The descent lander included a small mining refinery, and the reusable lander will be able to gather fuel from it using KAS attachments provided by crew (with yet another lander). This system will allow transfer stages with inadequate fuel to dock with the station and make the journey to other bodies. Furthermore, to accompany the fuel station, I sent down the first surface base modules. Namely a core module as well as a pair of "arm" modules for assembly via a crane that will be arriving later. The surface crew can safely live in the core module indefinitely assuming they are provided with food and water (this is where the arms come in, they have greenhouses and logistics.), as the base is stationed at the south pole with a solar array that can extend above the local terrain unless eclipsed by the earth, in which case there are backup RTGs. I plan on expanding both the mining station as well as adding a nuclear power station in the near future.

[KSP 1.5.*] Outer Planets Mod Patch for Principia

Does this work with galileo's sigma rescale? -
Not to revive an old thread for no reason but I used a single launch configuration wherein a launcher launches the second stage LH2 tank and reconfigures by swapping the rhino for a nuclear engine, then docking the lander to it and leaving that in orbit around Tylo during the landing itself. Not an SSTO, but an elegant single launch mission. Of course I used kerbalism so I had to do it as an unmanned sample return operation.

Title. Do a 10x Rescale Jool 5 with Kerbalism and SMURFF. Your engine mod limitations are Nertea's engine mods (CryoEngines/Tanks, Kerbal Atomics, NFT, FFT), but you can use any other mod for engine-unrelated stuff. Bonus allowed: SOCK SPOCK reDIRECT BOCK ACK (I have a sweet spot for these)
