Please for the love of god can i have that .craft file? Oh and a list of Mods. -
25 Trillion is an insane amount of money for one person to control but my god it would be fun. Here is what I would do: 1) Buy Reaction Engines. (no more than about $800million.) 2) Fund Reaction Engines Skylon spaceplane with the measly $2.3 billion it would take to bring it into reality. 3) Use a fleet of 50 of them to build a large Orbital Space dock and shipyard for on orbit construction of 5 colony ships and manufacture Chlorofluorocarbon Payload ships. 4) Launch as much of the 39 million metric tonnes of said chemicals on an intercept course to Mars, as needed to add 0.3 microbars of the stuff to the Martian atmosphere so as to allow the CO2 in the ground to begin being released and thereby start a chain reaction to melt the polar ice caps. (Total cost of putting that payload into orbit with Skylon's projected $1048/kg is $39,546,000,000,000, so help a guy out) 4) This would take about a decade and in that time the colony ships, each having about 1000 people aboard would be completed and ready to leave for a Mars with a now liveable atmosphere (with a gas mask, oxygen nitrogen mix is still 100s of years away). 5) The colony ships would not only carry people and supplies but enormous volumes of algae (grown on the ship as it was constructed). This algae would be dumped into the newly formed oceans and begin extracting O2 from CO2 in the water. 6) The colonists would then land habitats across the planet and set up 3 settlements. 7) I am now poor and penniless, but I live in a shielded dome city on Mars, so do I really care? I appreciate any feed back and apologise if this is slightly off topic. The picture is slightly inaccurate as it would take a long time to go green but you get the idea.

[0.17] [Erkle+ORDA] Orbital Propellant Depot Olympus

That things insane!!!! Ok, im now convinced this docking mod may work. -
11) Thrust vectoring allow for steering and direction change while the engine is on. It is basically essential for large space borne objects as they are very heavy an so very hard to turn round.

That would be awesome, I converted it to blender this morning should be just fine. The scales are insanely different but good luck, message me if you get anywhere. https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BwTL_9oSbStnal9KdGpMQnRBZXc/edit Also sorry but the wheels being off, I did the model about a year ago now and it was never meant to be used as an ingame model. Also, I have the texture files to if and when you want them. -

Awesome work dude, just awesome, infact you can call in inspirational. It was whilst landing the DEMV II and leaving the decent stage on and driving around that I had the idea to make the MAKO from Mass Effect into cart. This is the subsequent model and I was just wondering if you could possibly take a look at converting it into an in game item as I have no clue what Im doing in that respect and you, clearly do. -
I love that video, saw it a few months ago, fantastic idea for a ship.

Colonization Has Begun The story of the journey and arrival of various craft at the Jeb, Bob and Bill's new home. Duna. Link at the bottom for full 2560x1600 shots if anyone wants them for a wallpaper or some shiz. Pictures Interplanetary Transfer of my first attempt at a Duna landing. Looks quite good. Bill Jeb and Bob stand proudly on the Duna surface, after about 8 hours of failures. Transfer of the permanent Duna habitat, with apparently a Halo in the background, over Duna. (The habitat is my own slight modification of segaprophet's Torus Hab.) The Hab with Jeb standing proudly atop it + newly landed rover. wait, whats that on left??? ERMAHGERD!!!!!!!! Nostromo, game over man, game over. FACE IT!!! Why aren't you scared Jeb, why? (The Nostromo is an awesome way of getting around the new planets to test for atmospheres and gravity.) Here is a link to the album and the full res screens:http://imgur.com/a/NvVta#0 And here is my other imgur album for KSP: http://imgur.com/a/MXOIp#0 Comments and feedback would be very much appreciated. Also, would love to know how to get spoilers to work?

It is possible, if unlikely that if Laythe had an atmosphere comprised entirely of CFC's (Chlorofluorocarbons), which are insanely good at being greenhouse gasses and Duna's was only basic Nitrogen and CO2, with very little greenhouse effect, making it very cold indeed. It also could be methane oceans on Laythe which have a much lower freezing point than water. This is all amusing though that Kerbals have the same elements as us.

I managed a Munar landing with some extra fuel tanks and mini engines, (all still stock). However, with the game for some reason consuming all of my 8GB of ram and after a laggy reload, it decided to fall apart on the munar surface. The crew did not survive.
-
Thanks for the welcome. Been messing around in the game for a while, thought it was about time to join the forum. I tried a munar space plane with the C7 mod and its inline spaceplane RCS tanks and tis perfectly possible if you go for a 270* landing, as long as you have a rocket stage for the safety burn to get you down to < 100m/s before attempting an RCS landing. Vanilla though, Im gonna try over / under wing rockets for the space stage. Tomorrow though, its late here and I have a physics exam tomorrow.

Wow, Just wow dude, seriously, like he said the plane itself is a dream to fly, max of about 746m/s in atmosphere and relatively easy to orbit. Brilliant design. However do you know why it breaks apart when you try reload it from the Tracking station? Also do you think you could get this to be a Munar craft, I know its pushing it but do you think its possible???
