I have a Rift CV1 at home and I've used a Vive extensively at work. The Vive has a slightly more FOV, is adjustable for glasses, has less things to plug into your PC and the tracking is much better with 2 sensors only, The Rift is lighter, more comfortable, has ever so slightly better controllers, looks nicer and is significantly cheaper. You also get 5 free "games" in the bundle. Regardless of affiliations, the Rift works on SteamVR native (I have bought games labelled "Vive only", which work fine with the Rift*) and Revive, for running Oculus Home on Vive, looks pretty mature. I was able to buy Elite Dangerous on the Oculus Store and claim a Steam Key from the developer anyway. I highly recommend VR for all simulations. The whole experience is magic. You won't regret either purchase. *The only caveat to this is Fallout 4 VR. seeing as Zenimax and Oculus have barely left the courtroom, Rift support in that AAAAAA title is pretty awful.

[1.1] AFBW v1.7-beta (Joystick & controller mod)

That seems like a good solution. I'll try to test it as extensively as I can and report back. thanks -
[1.1] AFBW v1.7-beta (Joystick & controller mod)
Ich Dien replied to nlight's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
My setup is, on an X360 pad. left stick, pitch/roll right stick, trans y/trans x triggers, yaw+ & yaw- DPad vertical, inc throttle & trans Z assorted button bindings. With this setup I can control every type of craft without switching bindings, using docking mode or any other superfluous actions. If your solution is CFG editing, cool, but that's just what I was doing with the stock game, and I installed this mod to get away from that. I don't see the logic in taking away options from a mod that's sole purpose is to provide versatility. -

Ich Dien replied to nlight's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Since the last update, I can't find -Yaw (or negative any axis) in the list of available mappings, and therefore cannot use my previous mapping with the new version, which is a huge pain in the ass. Was it removed? -
[0.90] Procedural Dynamics - Procedural Wing 0.9.3 Dec 24
Ich Dien replied to DYJ's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Currently doing a texture manager build so I can't show any pictures. first thing I went to do in 0.90 is build a MK3 plane. pull a pWing into the editor and it's texture was dancing with the lighting engine. Put that thing back on the shelf quicker than an a box of angry birds branded condoms. -

And the problem with pWings is totally different to the problem that existed with pParts anyway. -

edit: Fixed it. This was a fresh windows 8 install and I never installed DirectX. -

ohh right, sorry that I didn't see that before >_< Here's 4. I'm sure they're all relevant to you because I can't remember this install crashing for any other reason. EDIT: It's crashing on any version... is there a .NET runtime I'm missing or something? -
[1.1] AFBW v1.7-beta (Joystick & controller mod)
Ich Dien replied to nlight's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
In the previous version, mine bound and worked fine. Precision controls makes absolutely no difference to the input whatsoever if you're controlling axis rather than buttons. This version, I'm getting the aforementioned crash when the toolbar button is pressed. More than a fix, I would like legacy versions to be available on GitHub. Currently got no access to working version of this mod at all.. -
I had Damned Robotics installed prior to installing this... maybe I installed that incorrectly.

That isn't how linking works. those files are on your local hard drive, which is in no way accessible via the internet, regardless of which direction the slashes are pointing. You need to upload to the files to a image hosting site like Imgur.com and then paste the direct link they provide you inside the tags. Unless you fancy hosting your own web-server.
