  1. The hardest thing about these crafts is finding that right balance between making it flexible enough so the SAS can cause it to vibrate, yet rigid enough so it doesn\'t shake itself apart! ;P
  2. Hmm, I think you are right. I just called it SAS powered, because it just goes faster with SAS turned on, lol. But yes, the actual propelling forward is from the little flaps rapidly flapping back and forth.
  3. I saw someone craft a SAS powered flyer and thought I try it myself. Granted most of the time it just explodes on the runway, but sometimes I could get it up in the air. Press A and J alternately really fast to get it moving forward, eventually the Advance SAS would take over and accelerate it (or cause it to shake itself apart and explode).
  4. adding the mk vii. sadly I found out that after landing on the mun, there\'s not enough fuel to get back.
  5. The albatross is the largest spaceplane I dared to make. I created and iterated several times so far: Albatross I: can take off with minimum wingspan Albatross II: increased wingspan. Single ocean flight succeeded. Landing was not. Albatross III: better engine configuration Albatross IV: full delta wingspan. Transcontinental flight across two oceans tested and succeeded. Landing mildly successful Albatross V: converted airplane to spaceplane. Can make it to the Mun Albatross VI: capable of landing on the Mun... backwards... barely. Albatross VII: more balanced RCS thrusters. Trying to land it backwards on the Mun: http://imgur.com/a/019mi Attached is the Mk IV, V, VI, VII. It\'s a little slow on the rise, but it\'s quite stable.
