About me
Bottle Rocketeer

No cause I de-triangulated the fuel tank and it was fine.
-
What is triangulate?

So I was trying to make a part and stuff, and I realized there was a lot of different stuff you had to do to make your part work. So I was wondering if someone could take the time to make a video tutorial (or picture tutorial) on how to make a simple part in blender (which actually works) from start to finish? I tried making a part and it just said 'index array out of bounds exception' when I bug tested it.

Challenge: Simplest Escape and Simplest Orbiter

Simplest rocket to achieve escape velocity: Pod - 5 Fuel tanks - Liquid Engine - Decoupler Simplest rocket to get to orbit and come back safely: Parachute - Pod - 5 Fuel tanks - Liquid Engine - Decoupler -
Updated with probably the simplest vanilla ship to ever reach above 6500 km/s
-
It's related. Also, you're a meanie.
-
Ah, but the Escape 3k is not just a single stage rocket to orbit, it's a single stage rocket to escape velocity, which your rocket doesn't achieve. Also it costs less and has fewer parts. Btw my previous Escape 3k was just a more powerful version of your ship so it could reach escape velocity. Pure coincidence lol

http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/index.php?topic=1009.0 I have now made a ship simpler and more responsive than this. Haters gonna hate.
-
Updated with the simplest orbit/escape ship made with vanilla parts ever.
-
Not sure what you mean. I only get 1 though 4 in the stage numbers. Also, you have to press space in quick succession on the first two stages to get the ship off the launchpad.
-
Updated with better ships.
-
They actually are required in order to get the ship enough lift to get off the ground.
-
Thanks. I realized my mistake just after I posted it. Sorry.

Updated with probably the simplest rocket to ever get to orbit or escape velocity. Traveling to another planet for a vacation? Need to get away from it all? On the run from the Kerbal government? Low on cash? Escape 3k is the ship for you! Made completely from parts traded everywhere on Kearth, this cheap and clean ship will help you make a quick getaway when you really need it. The booster stage alone will accelerate you to nearly 1km/s. None of this onslaught of parts to get an extra few miles. At SimpCon Industries, we keep things simple. One stage rocket to orbit or beyond! Barely scraping past 3km/s At only 8475 Kerbals, the Escape 3k will take you to orbit and past it! Made completely with vanilla parts. - 1 Command Module - 1 SAS Modules - 5 Fuel Tanks - 1 Liquid Engine - 1 Decoupler Max Velocity: 3001.8 m/s And now, our slightly more expensive franchise, the Escape 6k! With only 3 simple stages, this sleek rocket has the power to send you to more than twice the speed as before, or into orbit with more than two completely full tanks of fuel. However, you're going to have to steer the ship yourself this time. Hey, when you're going 6.5km/s, you'll thank me. Now that's a fast ship. And for a low 20030 Kerbals, too! Made completely with vanilla parts. - 1 Command Module - 1 Tri-Coupler - 19 Fuel Tanks - 4 Liquid Engines - 4 Decouplers Max Velocity: 6583.2 m/s Fly safe with SimpCon!
