Great! It's fine to know that we got that fixed. Cheers.

Hello guys, Just to let you know that this issue is being looked into. I'm working with our hosting to fix it. Cheers.

Modders and 3D Artists may find themselves in a bit of a tight spot trying to show off the awesomeness of their creations via simple, static screenshots. Having to resort to multiple angle shots and leaving putting the complete picture together to the watcher’s mind feels so last decade, which is why Squad has partnered up with Sketchfab to bring their amazing web based 3D modelviewer to our forums. Seeing models in full 3D is as easy as clicking the Sketchfab icon on a forum post, and if you want to upload your own, you only need to follow these quick and easy steps. 1) Make an account at sketchfab.com 2) Upload your 3D model to their website, which will give you a URL like https://sketchfab.com/show/cLeH1Z12bHgdkshoSWcLh7kWKiP 3) Embed it on the forums with bbcode using the URL’s code like this [sketchfab ]cLeH1Z12bHgdkshoSWcLh7kWKiP[/sketchfab] And just like that, everyone can get an accurate view at your work! Start uploading and sharing your creations today!

Hello everyone, Just to let you know that next Monday, April 29th we will be doing some maintenance to our Forums and SpacePort Server... Well, it is more like an upgrade. We realized that the Server is working at high loads of traffic and it can't handle the requests as smoothly as it should do it. That's why we need to do an upgrade to its hardware and help it work easier, so both Forums and Spaceport are loaded without problems. The upgrade will take at most 4 hours and it will start at Monday morning. Please, bear with us while we are working on the upgrade. Thank you - Alex

Hi, So, we finally have our Forums and SpacePort back up. However, these good tidings come with some unfortunate ones. Here's what happened: Last week, the server that hosts SpacePort and the KSP Forums started getting slower and slower until the sites were pretty much unusable. We eventually had to shut it down, but by that time the damage was done. The slowness was coming from an excessively high number of idle connections, which may or may not have been related to a global denial-of-service attack that affected thousands of sites last week. Whether or not that was actually the case for us is hard to tell, but in any case, the end result was that we ended up with a server so broken, it needed to be wiped out completely and reinstalled from scratch. We keep regular backups of all our databases, exactly for situations such as this. Spaceport was restored just fine. However, due to a fault in our backup process that went largely unnoticed until now, the most recent snapshots we had for the Forums were partially corrupted or incomplete. We've been able to get the Forums back up, but on some areas of the database, we were forced to revert to older backups, in some cases reaching as far back as October. This means that unfortunately there's been some data loss, mainly affecting threads and most grievously, user accounts. If your account dates from before October last year, you should be fine. However, if you created your account recently, there's a good chance it will be missing, in which case you'll have to re-create it. Rest assured though, this does not in any way affect your Store account. Those live on a separate database on a separate server, and they're perfectly fine, so your store profile is safe. This issue only affects forum accounts. Regardless, we are aware this is big a setback for a lot of people, and we sincerely apologize for it. Despite all our efforts, there was nothing we could do to get all the data back. We're still working hard on getting everything we can salvage from the partial backups we have though, so we can bring back as much content as possible. Needless to say, we're setting up a new, much more robust backup system, to make sure this never happens again. We are also adding in new security systems to minimize damage from attacks like that as much as possible. Once again, we deeply apologize for the inconvenience. Sincerely, -- The KSP Dev Team

Hi guys. The Forums migration to the new server couldn't be completed today, but we will continue working on that tomorrow. We don't want to keep the Forums down, so that's why they're back for tonight. Tomorrow they'll be down again and I hope it will take only a couple hours. Cheers.

Hi guys, As we announced last Friday, we were going to do a small upgrade to our server this weekend. Unfortunately, there were some technical issues that prevented it. Now, I want to let you know that the upgrade will be done today at midnight (00:00 hrs Mexico's City time) and the site will be down for at least 30 minutes, so please be patient. We know the Server is working fine right now, but we don't want to miss this upgrade because it will help in the future. Cheers.

Saludos.

Hi guys, Just to let you know that we're going to do a small upgrade to our server and the maintenance is programmed for tonight's last hours. (September 21st, 22:00 - 00:00 Mexico City's time). So we're asking for your patience and tomorrow morning KSP Site will be up again. Cheers.
