  1. Does anyone know, namely the modders, if the fuel tank parts in this or any mod need to be recalculated due to the new way that fuel tanks work?

  3. SasquatchM that is a great use of robotics. Very unique. A semi with a mobile launch pad, and VTOL plane. Would love to see more of your work.
  4. I tried getting my own space station into orbit about a week ago. I had a big problem with it being unbalanced. Reading through this topic has given me the drive to try again. This time, I wont give up so easy. Ill have to build the station from scratch because I deleted the .craft file for the one that I made. Note to self not to do that again. Well here\'s luck to trying again.
  5. Is there a way to get both polar views on the in-game map viewer? It seems like there is enough room under the small map. And the .exe file that is used to render the maps from the .csv files runs fine for me but wont let me input anything into the command line. All it does is render the other maps. I want to be able to get either of the polar views. Is there a fix for this? Am I just not seeing the simple thing? If you cant tell, I have my mapper sat on a polar trajectory. I only have one and its around Kerbal. I\'m about to send number 2 up to see if I can get more of an equatorial view.
  6. By the way, I have a really hard time with balancing spacestations. Im not sure exactially what is unbalancing the stations but it gets really annoying with possible troubleshooting. I think that it might be the solar panels or that I am just making some laterally large stations with lots of gizmos on the sides of them. I do use symmetry but that only goes so far with placing solar panels on the sides of laterally placed pieces. I would attach a .craft file of what I have but the unbalancing bothered me so much that I got mad and deleted all my station files. I even had a station/base thing for landing on the Mun based off of the below video on youtube using the parts in the Station Pack V4.
  7. The problem that I have with the docking nodes is not placement of the nodes themselves but placing things under them when they have things on the 4 lateral directions. Namely decouplers.
  8. Yah sorry about not doing that, I ment to but forgot. Here are some pics of the KST
  9. I am pleased to see that my KST will have some use to others.
  10. This is my Kubble Space Telescope (KST for short). The mods used Im quite sure are the NovaPunch Remix pack and Silisko\'s Probodobody DIY Satellite Kit. I would recommend adding the Multiversal Mechatronics - Fixed Camera mod, placing a camera on the lens of the KST. And for those that like really mechanical things the Kosmos Space Station Parts Pack V4 for its animated solar panels. All linked below. There are 2 versions of the KST attached below, one is just the KST Satellite (Kubble Space Telescope) and the other is the KST Satellite with a launch rocket assembly (KST). 11. Ive got an SRB that I would like to see implemented in this. Its the Radial Spin Booster from the NovePunch parts pack http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/index.php?topic=4180.0 Ive never used them because I think that unneeded spin would just complicate things, but with this mission they might have a use in giving the probe spin to maybe help burrow into the ice. Just a thought. I think that I will give this mission a try after I recreate a youtube video that I saw of a MunBase... Pics will be taken, and I think that I will post the MunBase as a challenge if I cant find a similar one.
  12. 2 things. 1. The Kosmos LK Lander (Large) craft needs to be more balanced, well at least the parts in that mod. I was able not once but twice (I did it once and wanted to confirm it) send the large LK Lander with nothing other then the lander craft all by itself to Mun, land, then take off and successfully make it back to Kerbal with (little) fuel to spare (mostly RCS fuel). No deaths, no mechjeb. I did also try to re-accomplish this feat with the small one but it burned too much of its smaller liquid fuel tanks to be able to make it much past atmo let alone a geostationary orbit. There where some problems that occurred in the flight, like the four outer tanks (sense they dont have symmetry) draining at uneven intervals which messes with weight distribution in flight (which is overcome by minor adjustments in atmo and definatly using ASAS) under moderate gravity (I didnt notice it around Mun due to its low gravity and I think that the tanks where more evenly emptied). As-well-as the liquid fuel engine burning up a couple of times due to heat in outer-space (easily corrected by only burning at most 2/3rds throttle) My solution (at least I think) is to make the larger tanks of liquid/RCS fuel heavier or have less in them or both (Im not a modder and have no clue how to, or the programs to do this, but wouldnt be objected to help with testing.) 2. In your youtube video of your space-station you deploy all the solar panels at the same time. I think (because I think that I did that once but dont remember how) there is a button that you keyed for the powertech.dll plugin that deploys all the solar panels and the radiator panel at once. What is this key, and could you in the next update add a readme file or post the various controls for your mods on the front. I did try and go through the 66 pages (as of this post) of this thread but that got really old really fast, so forgive me if you did post them on one of the pages here. These are just my thoughts. Great mods, hope that your stuff gets added to the game, cause folding solar panels and space-stations are a great direction for the game. So are satellites, moon-bases, DOCKING, more then one command module, more planets and celestial bodies and rovers
  13. I enter my Kubble Space Telescope or KST for short. This is kind of an easy thing to do but I put a space telescope into orbit around Kerbal. The only mods that I used for this are... Tiberion\'s NovaPunch 1.2 beta http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/index.php?topic=4180.0 for its rockets and fairings (the game really needs fairings) and Silisko Industries\' Probodobodyne DIY Kit 0.5 http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/index.php?topic=6397.0 for the lightweight satellite parts. For this launch no other mods where used and I got quite a stable orbit by hand without using RCS, well at least not to adjust the orbit. It has an orbit at around 611.3k with a total difference of 400m (200m either way). With these pics I have it pointed at I assume to be the middle of the galaxy in Kerbal as seen in the 3rd pic (well at the very least a very large nebula). But due to the lightweightedness of the parts in the Probodobodyne parts mod, it makes this thing extremely easy to maneuver around. So if I want to point it at Mun then as long as it is visible to the scope I can point that way. What I was thinking of when I built and launched this is that I wanted to have a satallite that could maintain a visual on anything that I wanted launch into space.
