  1. Project O.C.H (Name means something) is a project of mine that I need help on. What is O.C.H? O.C.H is a interplanetary ship, which will carry a small fleet of drones (3-4) in a bay. The Ship will have to be built in orbit, unless I can build a working "tug" system. Ideas My first proto, was built using struts, to build the internal frame. The next part, would have been the outer skin, but this was scrapped due to the failure of the internal system. My next idea, is using a modular method, making each section at a time, though I have yet to start it. Requirements Mecha Jeb Some form of Tug for take off. A way to build it in space, eliminating the tugs if possible. Cargo bay for 2 ships at least. Size Length will be per section 4 standard fuel tanks per section, 3 for the engine block. Maneuvering I was thinking of using the nuclear engine, but I dont want it to explode due to over heating, so I was thinking of using two sets of engines, one for normal movements such as positioning itself, and another for moving around fast. Questions My first problem is, can i make separate fuel sources foe each set of engines, so that I dont have to worry about fuel. Second, is there a warp drive system? Third, will orbital construction be possible at some point?
  2. OK, first as I am running the demo still, but will be getting the game soon, I started thinking of ideas. The SDI was born out of the MIRV I built leading to numerous ideas. For example the navy. The carrier seems plausible using the mobile base mod, operating vtol aircraft. More for fun and machima use. The recovery ship. Used to recover items with a onboard Crane. This would then be taken to the space center and transferred to a truck like normal. All ships could be built using VTOL engines to get them into place in the sea, either keeping the engines for later use, or using them with de couplers. Trucks Very straight froward, they clear wrecks and recover stuff.
  3. Neat. Ill give it a try and see what I get. The problem i found testing my own designs is the under powered launch, either sitting on the pad, or not getting high enough the orbit. I made a 2 stage rocket, and I expect the third stage would be a doubled second stage, using twice the amount of engines and fuel.
  4. I been using the Rt10s to get into 'high orbit' as each RT10 can get me to about 19k in alt. I was wondering two things, how do i orbit Kerbin, and second, what do you guys use to get into orbit, and beyond. Really wanna discuss ideas for launching a payload of 8 missiles into orbit. I been messing around and made a missile launching system and decided to make a Kerbin SDI program in my game, using the railguns and missiles. Sorry if i posted this in the wrong place.
