Default Controls Changes
SPWeber replied to SPWeber's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Yes I know, but I think it would make more sense and help out beginners more if the defaults were changed. -
So I was trying to make a new plane, something I have never really been good at in KSP, but then I made this thing and thought that I should share it with the world: http://imgur.com/a/WsS6o The lamely-named Quadros is a 4 engine aircraft that can take advantage of kethane deposits on Kerbin to give it a possibly infinite range. It requires the B9 Aerospace and Kethane mods, and I have only tested it with the stock aerodynamics. Craft file: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B5CpMuclV6jHem5HbWR1SWdnT2M/edit

There are a couple default controls that seem a bit... off. The caps lock to toggle precision controls seems like an odd key to use for a function other than the actual caps lock, I think the precision controls key should be changed to tab, it is right next to caps lock and is free of any other bindings. Secondly, using WASD for rover wheel controls often leads to unintended reaction wheel usage that comes from having driving controls and orientation controls bound to the same keys and with both active at the same time. This seems like a strange controls choice that has obvious consequences, so perhaps IJKL could be used for rover wheel controls, that could interfere with rcs translation, but that can be turned off and is not needed on land while driving.

So .21 isn't out yet. So why is it on YouTube?
SPWeber replied to Night60700's topic in KSP1 Discussion
This is a rather loaded post, the videos of .21 on youtube are from people who are in the media group to increase popularity of the game and the new release. They get an early version so they can share it with the masses. Of course, that version is not as bug-stomped as the later, public one. -
You need to burn at apoapsis otherwise it will continue to rise away from you to the point that it escapes the planet.
