Don't mind that cheat thingy...
-
I updated the post to the new forum format thingy in case someone still want's to read this without having broken spoilers, slashes and weird artifacts.
-
I think I used this tutorial http://youtu.be/3j9C1cjuA6k

Not my Video, but I thought i share it with you because it has almost no views!

Gagarin would never get a memorial...
-
I'm sorry. I added an annotation for ear safety reasons.
-
Jeb thought it would be fun to test the low range communication module by shooting it into the air. Sadly he forgot the parachute and 15.000$ of equipment crashed onto the ground.

Proxtube seems to be generally dead... I can't watch any Gema blocked videos at all...

With IVA's in the 0.17 update a first person camera view could make things easier, since IVA's happen in very close space and a third person camera would be hard to use. -
[spoiler=]

This is my failed attempt to make a no-gravity room.

I guess the basic rule is: Low and Mid-End cards=AMD(ATI) Mid High-End cards= NVIDIA My opinion: I extremely dislike NVidias marketing strategy. All that "exclusive" for NVidia stuff and all these advertisements just look so "mainstreamish". Also generally their marketing and management seem kind of douche bag y - ish. If that makes any sense.
-
Uhm, ok, is that better: My artery exploded from excitement and I died. Because this is so awesome.
-
Oh god, I took a little **** when I farted from excitement.
-
Personally I like Radeon HD cards better then NVidia cards. Radeon cards seem generally more reliable to me. I have my ATI Radeon HD 4850 almost for half a decade and it still runs good even though it is heavily overclocked.

I had a guy orbiting around the mun for quit a while because of a little accident, so today I decided to rescue him instead of him just killing himself. First I tried using mech jeb but when it started to **** up I switched to manual control. My Orbit was also going from west to south and the cosmonaut was going in the opposite direction so I actually had to turn the whole orbit around. When the cosmonaut was about 15km away I started a visual approach. Everything went smoothly and I could land with minimal damages on the vessel. Also just an idea: Maybe you could post some pictures to make this thread less boring?

I want a colored name too D: -
Namrog, I understand what you mean. I just wanted to make a bad back in my days joke...
-
Soooo, you remove the colors, increase the contrast and add text which is partiality red? Back in my days being able to see something was considered a good thing....
-
Did you fly into the sun?! Also what happened to the colors? What is going on?!

Windows 7 64 bit AMD FX 8120 (Eight Core) 3.8Ghz 16gb RAM Radeon HD 6950 (Will upgrade when RH 8000 Series comes out) Runs pretty smooth, but also lags when leaving planets or switching spacecrafts.... -
Some of the Curiosity Team love playing KSP

Hopefully KSP becoming famous won't ruin the community... -
The mun seems most flat in the equator area. The further you go south or north the terrain becomes more extreme.

I will collect some information associated with orbiting in the first post, if something's wrong please correct me.
-
Orbiting I hope I will be able to complete this list. I will also probably continue it when new planets come out. Kerbin Synchronous orbit: 2869km Highest mountain: ???m End of atmosphere/lowest possible orbit: ???m Highest possible orbit: ???m Mün Synchronous orbit: Not possible Highest mountain: ???m Lowest possible orbit: *400m Highest possible orbit: ???m Minmus Synchronous orbit: Not possible Highest mountain: *5km Lowest possible orbit: ??? Highest possible orbit: ???m *Marked Values are not exact I will add your screenshots if you want. Of course I will add your name too. I launched a spacecraft into a low munar orbit so I can observe the surface from above. It flies by the Mun Arch at a distance of about 4km and the height of the orbit is slightly over 5.000 so I can time warp. Now I can plan a route for expeditions on the surface, observe for anomalies or look for a nice landing spot. This is also my first MechJeb mission. Have you experience with low orbiting? What is your lowest/highest Kerbin/Mün/Minmus/Kerbol Orbit and what is the lowest safe orbit? Do you use MechJeb? Do you think low orbiting is usefull, if yes what do you use it for? At what altitude are your space stations orbiting? Tell all of your Stories associated with Orbiting!
