Ctrl+Z bug breaks the game!
Grimfilth replied to Ghost13's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, unmodded installs)
I've got the exact same issue, ruined the entire vessel where i worked on the past few hours, made me rage quit KSP for this week. Exactly like Ekudram said. This bug is horrible and game breaking. -
Action group numerics
Grimfilth replied to Grimfilth's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Thanks! That means i'm not going to Mun today... -
Before 0.9 i was able to assign actions with the 1 to 0 keys, now i can't, am i missing out on some new feature? This cripples a lot of my creations

Reverse skydiving The goal is to jump out of the plane and get the highest altitude with just a Kerbal! The Kerbal has to survive, flying back to the plane. 1) Build a plane. (prefferably out of stock parts) Dump RCS/oxidizer fuel, no rockets allowed either 2) Take off and go straight up, or whatever trajectory which gets your Kerbal the highest altitude. 3) When the engine(s) suffocate, EVA the Kerbal out of safety 4) Get your Kerbal in the highest possible trajectory, note the apoapsis altitude! 5) Return to the plane before it hits the atmosphere, and WIN Why you should try it? It is nerve wrecking, and quite easy. The plane will slow down in the upper atmosphere, so the Kerbal will fly away from the plane. I got to an altitude of 91km, took the screenshots at the wrong moment, other attempts were less.....fortunate

Could Fusion Power Consume the Earth's Oceans?
Grimfilth replied to fenderzilla's topic in Science & Spaceflight
Yeah it is, but there's still enough uranium, gas and coal for the next couple of decades. And just like cars, why would any power supply company want to invest in something which robs them of their own income? But, NIF is doing great and ITER should be the last pilot plant. Just in time before we run out of uranium ore. -
Self sufficiency could work in the long run on Mars, but i doubt it'll be worth the effort, looking at how humanity is single handedly destroying this planet already.

Good morning sir. 0.25 is almost a week old.

Full power to the main trusters! Yeah, long haired metal scum, reporting in.

Investigating giant craters with scorched earth around it sounds like fun, with a temporary global atmosphere change perhaps. If the asteriod lands in sea it will make the atmosphere more foggy and dense, if the asteriod lands on land it will make the atmosphere red and any fast movement in the sky burns, reducing the toughness of parts a lot. And perhaps recovering the asteriod.

.25 is great imo. nice new parts, usefull new icons on the navball. The sliders for the career mode are usefull and the new building opportunities are neat as well. Yes there are bugs, there always will be bugs, and i can't feel sorry for those whiners. This isn't a completed game to start with, and if the game would be perfect and finished, it would be worth $50, right? If you race on silverstone circuit with your average car and the car can't handle the track at high speeds, you can't blame the circuit, right? But people don't want to hear their car just isn't fit for racing, or their driving ability is poor. Get a decent rig together, get the right drivers and fix stuff with unofficial patches and don't expect miracle performance on a mediocre pc. And if you don't like this, you should be a console gamer. Enough ranting, time for the hillarious bugs i encountered;

My most humbling moment in KSP: Building a pyramid sized rocket consuming all of Kerbins fuel, planning a interplanetary visit to Jool and back. Perfect gravity assist and throttle full open with the most immense engines, looking at my trajectory on the map.... Man, space is mind-boggingly big, not even halfway there.

[Showcase] Showoff Your Rep-Worthy Crafts
Grimfilth replied to Redrobin's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Stock ksp parts. 2 seats, RCS, SAS, communicator, 4x Thermoelectric Generator, heavily reinforced frame -
Texures of parts are blurry... While graphic settings are maxed

Launched a small mountain filled with most of Kerbins fuel. My pc wasn't too happy with the launch either.

1. No spacejunk in orbit above an altitude of 200k. 2. Spaceship needs at least 1 stage of fuel efficient propulsion. 3. Reputation dissipation. No Kerbal will return to Kerbin or die. Maybe float around in orbit under 200k. i will recover the spaceship tough. 4. Learn to dock spaceships and make proper use out of it, instead of launching small mountains which consume half of Kerbins fuel reserves.

Yay finally 'landed' on Gilly. Jebediah stepped out of the ship and landed with a bit of jetpack aid. Getting back on board was a little harder Note to self; don't get an altitude lower then 4k around Gilly, the mountains are a bit bigger in reality, the map is showing a shrunk version.

I made one of the great dark craters because the lander carried a ton of unused RCS fuel And i didn't push the Mun, it decided for itself to move away because it doesn't want to get infected with those Kerbals. That's why it keeps swatting my low orbit satellites out of the sky with it's mountains. And North Koreans go to camps where they learn to concentrate, that's how they could land on the sun and fly back within 24 hours!
-
Because the astroids game never gets old! Lasers could be usefull to push astroids out of their current trajectory, even if it's slow. And for the sake of science, it could be used for spectrophotometry as well, because we all want to know what a Kerbal consists of. Or, we could create a Death Star with it, ofcourse. And a steady income of science would be welcome. Due to their big heads, Kerbals can't look up and take a look at the sky. That's why we need a few telescopes up in space, to send pretty pictures back! Or smaller photographic devices, which we can take pictures of planets and stuff, for good looking mouse pads or coffee mugs for those office cubical Kerbals.

Hello there, i've been lurking on these forums for a while, for inspiration and updates, and i thought it was time for my introduction. I've been doing KSP for a couple of years occasionally, and i've darted so many crashers into Mün that i've nudged it a couple metres away. No Kerbals were hurt, most of them died instantly and the rest got oxygen deprived. My stats; 28 yo, industrial mechanical operator, rigged to play ksp pretty well (Intel i5 4670k + msi 770GTX) My goal is to beat North Korea's record time to physically land a person on the Sun, and then return him home safely.
