  1. Exactly, the challenge is to see who can do it for the least
  2. OK, changed the rules, you can use any mod that measures Delta v, but you need to show Periapsis
  3. My entry, I'm sure anyone could do better. I'm sure it's possible to get below 4500 m/s. First person to do so will get an honourable mention.
  4. Simple challenge, the person who uses the least delta v to get to a 100km (tolerence of 5km) orbit wins. RULES: Mechjeb/Mods that measure Delta v are the only mods allowed You must not use any glitch to aid in getting to orbit Command pod must be manned Pics or it didn't happen BONUS: Return to Kerbin after orbiting, delta v is calculated by how much fuel it took to get into orbit, not the total for orbiting and returning(but you must prove that you returned) ORBIT TABLE: 1.foamyesque - 4532 m/s 2. 3. 4. 5. ORBIT & RETURN TABLE: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. GOOD LUCK!
  5. Just as a question to the devs... why are they waiting to implement docking? is there a reason? I'm not bothered, I was just wondering, I like the docking mods that we have currently.
  6. ahh, thank you, after a bit of searching i finally found mech jeb
  7. I have been searching everywhere, does anyone know of a good place to get mods for 0.16 and future versions???, Thanks.
  8. I would settle for any money, but $50 million would be great!.
  9. Just to clear things up, i didn't mean it was impossible as in it couldn't happen i meant it was almost impossible to have something like that on a fully formed system like Kerbin, given that Kerbin would have took millions of years to form.
  10. I'm not sure if you can in ksp, but in real life i don't think it's possible due to tides, here is an interesting post about it http://curious.astro.cornell.edu/question.php?number=679
  11. Comparing Orbiter to KSP is like comparing Bread and Butter, they are two completely different things, as someone said to me in one of my old threads(cant remember who it was)"The difference between good sci-fi and bad sci-fi is that good sci-fi can be easily explained"
  12. Thanks , I was hoping someone would explain what the settings mean should have explained myself better, hang on, ill modify the thread.
  13. I went there once, when i went, i couldn't get my kerbinauts to stand on it, must be a glitch
  14. what do you guys think is the best way to configure settings.cfg? mabye you could post your settings.cfg or tell us what the settings mean. Thanks
  15. For this challenge you must send a kerbinaut outside kerbin\'s SOI and eva him, then you must land on the moon/minmus/launch annother ship to go and recover him, the winner of this challenge is the person who can do it in the fastest time(if anyone manages to do it). RULES: The kerbinaut must be outside the planets SOI before you go and land/relaunch Recovery time starts as soon as you eva the kerbinaut No mods allowed (apart from mech jeb) Pictures or it didnt happen 15% off your recovery time if you can get him back to kerbin 45% off your recovery time if you only use 1 ship to complete this mission (will change rules if required) Good luck! TIMES: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Less difficult challenge: leave the kerbinaut in orbit, land, and pick him up on the way back to kerbin. MINMUS TIMES: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. MUN TIMES: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. RULES: Recovery time starts as soon as you eva the kerbinaut No mods allowed (apart from mech jeb) Pictures or it didnt happen 5% off your recovery time if you can get him back to kerbin
