  1. My testing goes a little something like this: 1. Build rocket. 2. Check if level? If so, move to step 3. If not, repeat step 1. 3. LAUNCH! If it crashes, repeat step 1 - 2. 4. ??? 5. Land on faraway places. If it can return home, do so. If not...Move on. Moment of Silence.
  2. I honestly have no idea. I crashed attempting to find it again. Honestly, i doubt it was above 3,000 meters. It's there somewhere. Flew RIGHT past me. Literally at the screen. Looked circular, and holey. It's not red, but grey, so, it would probably be easier to see from above it, than below it. And i don't think it was moving, but literally floating.
  3. Was coasting around inside of Duna's orbit, and passed by some type of rock floating in the air, somewhere at 32.797 N, 2.204 E. Happened way to fast to get a screen, and i was going fast enough that i can't exactly find it again. Anyone that's got a great spaceplane design want to take a look? It's under 10,000 meters up. It's not very big, so, it's easy to miss.
  4. I think it's pretty clear that .18 needs to be known as the optimization update. My rig is no slouch, and it lags a bit when loading the textures on planet/moon EVA's. And i specifically made this computer for gaming. I would honestly hate to see how this game reacts on a lesser built computer system. So, the ONLY two things i would think are "needed", for .18, are as follows: Code Optimization: This makes the game, not only far more stable, but also easier for players that do not own gaming rigs to further enjoy KSP. Finish out the Kerbol System: This gives more space in further updates to add new things, and not need to spend time on planets, and moons. --------------- Things that would be cool to have, but can honestly wait: 1. The beginnings of the Career mode, perhaps coupled with an easy way to mod such things: This would allow just about anyone to create missions, and whatnot, opening up a HUGE amount of things to do. 2. Official Rovers. There are an awful lot of easter eggs that most don't even bother with, as getting your landing perfect enough to be able to quickly get to them isn't a viable option. 3. With the Rovers, implement the very basic type of Docking. Simply put, a module that has a Lock/Unlock feature. When it's locked, anything attached to it is held in place. when unlocked, they are not. This would make for a very simple way to dock, and undock. When moving something back towards something that has been undocked, hitting the key that is set to lock, would reattach the parts together. This is my 50 cents worth.
  5. Novasilisko has done a beautiful job on the planets from what I've seen. They look exactly how I would expect planets in the Kerbol system to look. Certainly the must see part of .17.
  6. For me, kurt crashing is of course enjoyable. The best part, however, is watching him learn from trial and error, how to do what he's attempting.
  7. I agree with you fully on this. Games are heading towards the cookie cutter genre, nowadays. It's fun to play esoteric games, and the like. It's the main reason I play indie games. Most of them are so different, that they would never survive without community support, in the main market. Average gamer wouldn't pick up ksp off a store shelf. And if they did, they would certainly find it exceptionally difficult to get into. That's why youtube, and lp's in general, are a blessing to indie game development. It gets it out there, brings in fans, and shows how fun a game can be. I bought ksp, after watching kurt play it. And I heavily disagree with the person that said kurts a bad player. I mean, he might not be the best, but, he has come a long way. Hell, he taught me more about orbital mechanics than I ever thought to bother learning. He might not be the best, but he's funny, and entertaining. And for indie games, there is honestly no better marketing.
  8. For a bit of reference, I suppose: I'm running: Amd x2 5500 black edition at 3.2 ghz Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit 4Gb of ram (Only 3 are used by the system) Ati radeon 5570 1gb with the final gb of ram above shared. High end when I built this computer. It's now considered medium. Always getting 35+ fps, on max, except for when I go to 1000x time warp for the first time in a flight. Then it freezes for a second. No problem after that. Haha.
  9. This next update appears to have a huge amount of content, yet Harvester considers them all to be small updates. I have to wonder what exactly would be considered a "Large" update. Lol.
  10. Actually, it isn't. It just wouldn't remain that way for long on an astronomical scale. It would VERY, VERY, VERY slowly transition into a normal orbit. But that would take millions upon millions of years. Theoretically, it could exist.
