I've done a little experimenting and it seems that replacing all instances of ModuleEnginesRF in Stockalike_Sqaud.cfg with ModuleEngines restores the engine effects. -

I am also having some issues with engine effects and the new configs, however, I'm not using HotRocket or anything else that should replace engine effects. In addition, KER Flight Engineer no longer registers any thrust from engines. I do not believe that KSP uses integers to represent time, but single precision floating point numbers. A 32-bit float has an upper limit of about 3.4e38 or 10^31 yr. However, the precision at that time would be rather low and the practical limits are much lower. If we assume that KSP can function with a maximum timestep of 2^-10 seconds (probably a very conservative estimate, the real limit is likely much higher), then the time when you can no longer achieve that level of precision from a 32-bit float is about 2^140 s or 4.4e34 yr. Even at 100,000 times time acceleration, that's trillions of times the age of the universe.

I've got almost the same setup (i7-4770K, GTX 550Ti, 8GB RAM, Win7 x64) and it is nice. I typically get 45-50 fps with 300 part ships, 10 fps at 600 parts, and 5 fps at 1000 parts with the default settings. And I haven't even tried to overclock it yet since I'm currently living where the temperature is 90-100F and no AC, so you should get comparable rates. If you can, I highly recommend getting a better graphics card. The only advantage the GT 625 has over integrated graphics is the dedicated RAM (actually, at least one benchmark puts the Intel HD 4600 above the GT 625). You can get a GT 640 or an Radeon HD 7750 for about $80 and you'll see a huge improvement in graphics intensive games. @Seanoog Unfortunately, you can't easily overclock the standard Haswell processors. I occasionally do some beauty shots that I add decals to, either because it looks cool or, like the Hyperion, to show actions groups. Before: After: I wanted to put some decals on the frigates as well, but I couldn't find a place where they looked good. -

Hello again from Hellas Corps. Those crazy engineers are at it again. This time they've been tweaking the Othrys class carrier. Thus, Hellas Corps is proud to present the Othrys Beta class fleet carrier. The missile platforms from the old Othrys class carrier have been removed and 4 more fighter docking bays have been added. The Othrys Beta was designed to support 4 Isprit and 6 Mosquito fighter as well as 2 Hetairoi class frigates and 2 Telesphorus class rescue ships. In addition, the weight saved from removing the missiles makes it possible for the Othrys Beta to haul over 300 tonnes to Jool. The Hetairoi class frigate was developed to be the "companion" of the Othrys Beta. Lighter than a destroyer but with the firepower of a cruiser, the Hetairoi is capable of defending it's carrier from anything that can get through the fighter escort as well as acting as a mid-range torpedo boat. With losses increasing on all sides, the need for a search and rescue ship is all too obvious. Thus the Telesphorus was designed to retrieve pilots from disabled ships and either transport them to a nearby ship or wait until a tug can return them to Kerbin. With all it's fighters and frigate escorts, the Theia clocks in at 997 parts and over 422 tonnes fully fueled. Once again, the official submission post has been updated to include these new ships. The Hellas Corps engineers have come up with a new ship, although it's not what anyone expected. Bill Jr. wanted another missile boat, Jeb the 33rd wanted a carrier to land on, and Bob V wanted a sensible transport. The only thing they could agree on was that it should be HUGE. Thus the Othrys class carrier was born. The Othrys holds 149 tonnes of fuel and can haul a virtually unlimited amount of fuel with it's rear facing jumbo docking ports. It sports 2 Hades and 8 Kaos class missiles. Last, but not least, it will carry a squadron of 4 Mosquito MkIV and 2 Isprit MkVII (N) anywhere in the system. The carrier itself is a hefty 311 parts. When loaded with a full compliment of fighters it weighs in at an impressive 583 parts and nearly 300 tonnes. My official submission post has been updated to include a new carrier, the HCS Atlas CVX-01 in a high Laythe orbit with a squadron of fighters. -

I've finished getting both ships into orbit of Laythe. I hadn't planned on a rendezvous, but the orbits worked out quite nicely. This is my first successful rendezvous without any assistance from MechJeb! The full submission post has been updated to include the save file with Hyperion and Ajax in Laythe orbit. The albums have also been updated to include proof of transit to Laythe. -

Company- Hellas Corps Company bio- For some time, several minor nations unable to afford their own space force have grown concerned about both Spiritwolf's near monopoly and Hanland's increasing belligerence. After the incident known as the battle of Vulture's drift, it became apparent that the conflict could only escalate. Thus, the Hellas Corps was founded by these nations to provide an independent source of affordable warships to protect the interests of minor nations across Kerbin. After the battle of Laythe and Hanland's use of kamikaze tactics, the founding members of the Hellas Corps have decided that Spiritwolf is the only organization capable of keeping Hanland in check. Hellas Corps has ordered the newly launched HCS Hyperion and HCS Ajax to rendezvous with the Spiritwolf fleet at Laythe. In order to meet Spiritwolf specifications, the flight computer on the Hyperion and Ajax were ripped out and replaced by .Allegiance- Spiritwolf ---------------------------------------- Ship- Titan class dreadnought, HCS Hyperion BBC-03 Introducing the Titan class dreadnought. The backbone of the Hellas Corps fleet, the Titan was designed to fill many roles. With it's advanced radar, jamming systems, advanced flight computer, and command facilities it makes an excellent flagship. The Atlas sports 2 Hades class and 8 Kaos class missiles. In addition, Spiritwolf's Grey squadron, consisting of 4 Mosquito MkIV and 2 Isprit MkVII(N), has been assigned to the Atlas. The Othrys class is also capable of pulling up to 200 tonnes into Laythe orbit with it's rear facing docking ports. The Theia boasts 4 more fighter bays and a greater towing capacity than the Atlas. She was designed to support 4 Isprit and 6 Mosquito fighters as well as 2 Hetairoi class frigates and 2 Telesphorus class rescue ships. Ship- Hetairoi class frigate, HCS Aeropus FF-07 and HCS Alcetas FF-08 Designed to act as an escort for the Othrys class and it's variants, the Hetairoi class frigate carries 8 Hades class missiles but has a limited range (delta v of 1200m/s). Thus the Hetairoi is dependent on a carrier or tanker for operations beyond LKO. Part count- 123 Craft file- v0.21 Ship- Telesphorus class rescue vehicle With losses increasing on all sides, the need for a search and rescue ship is all too obvious. Thus the Telesphorus was designed to retrieve pilots from disabled ships and either transport them to a nearby ship or wait until a tug can return them to Kerbin. Greetings from the Hellas Corps. For some time, several minor nations unable to afford their own space force have grown concerned about both Spiritwolf's near monopoly and Hanland's increasing belligerence. After the incident known as the battle of Vulture's drift, it became apparent that the conflict could only escalate. Thus, the Hellas Corps was founded by these nations to provide an independent source of affordable warships to protect the interests of minor nations across Kerbin. Introducing the Titan class dreadnought. The backbone of the Hellas Corps fleet, the Titan was designed to fill many roles. With it's advanced radar, jamming systems, advanced flight computer, and command facilities it makes an excellent flagship. It's 8 Hades class missiles allow it to deliver a devastating broadside to enemy capital ships while its 96 tonne fuel and 6 tonne RCS capacity allow it to refuel a modest sized fleet anywhere in the system. After the battle of Laythe and Hanland's use of kamikaze tactics, the founding members of the Hellas Corps have decided that Spiritwolf if the only organization capable of keeping Hanland in check. Because of Spiritwolf's devastating losses, Hellas Corps has ordered the newly launch HCS Hyperion, the third ship of the Titan class, to rendezvous with the Spiritwolf fleet at Laythe to liberate Halcyon 1. In order to meet Spiritwolf specifications, the flight computer on the Hyperion was ripped out and replaced by an . Fully armed, the with 0.20 ASAS of Hyperion weighs in at 379 parts, of which about 70 are structural to keep it from shaking itself apart during launch. After the introduction of the 0.21 ASAS, engineers have found that they can rip out most of those struts without catastrophic failure. Early tests suggest that a fully armed Titan can be slimmed down to under 300 parts. More information will be provided later on the other ships provided by Hellas Corps.
