Ha! Serves me right for not playing for a year, I had no clue that was even a possibility!!!

Trying to use mechjeb to get this into orbit and docked, but could only get the core up there. Every other component I've tried just wheels about in the sky as soon as I take off. I want to like this game but it's such an exercise in frustration.
