Strange, because in video, it seems like that it wasen't connected to the main rocket.

Hey everybody! I have been playing KSP for a quite a while. (Bought it at version 0.14 or 0.15) I'm going to enjoy these forums. Just one queston though: How can I get into orbit? I'm confused about these things you are talking about, like TMI, retrograde burns, stuff like that. Can someone tutor me? I want it to know also, but simply. Pictures will help.
