  1. I've made a super-heavy asteroid tug, kind of like the Seigfried Space Zeppelins on Iron Sky. It's probably massively overdone, with too much fuel, but it will never need to be refueled! http://imgur.com/a/FuXgS It has 2 small drone tugs on the side for smaller calss A and class B asteroids.
  2. I would assume that mars' size makes it very difficult to maintain an atmosphere. An easier method would be setting up large domes, or enclosed underground bases. Natural resources can still be used, but we don't need to go to all the trouble of maintaining an entire planet's atmosphere.
  3. I doubt any robots will be commercially built that resemble humans. If it doesn't look almost perfectly like a human it creeps people out. I also don't think we will ever give artificial intelligence to anything that could potentially cause harm to a human. I would hope that, if the time comes, governments will pass laws to prevent ambitious scientists from causing damage by creating an AI that they can't control. The thing with Data is that his number one objective is to be more human, so will display some kind of emotion and won't go around, cold and calculative, making decisions that are more effective in a given situation.
  4. Personally, I find spouting profanities like water out of a fire hose, because it gives any that you use less meaning. It also gives you less of a... composed and intelligent appearance. I wouldn't ever swear around my parents, unless it's olde timey swearing (you know what I mean). I also don't swear to be offensive, unless it's a joke. Basically, I use them as a tool to make my sentences more interesting, and for certain things to have more of a meaning.
  5. Nice idea However, I would put retro thrusters on that thing to save you having to turn around after dumping the space-junk.
  6. I would agree exactly. Articles are moderated, and ridiculous stuff is removed relatively quickly, but specifics of a topic can be missed. Using Wikipedia as a source of main dates, names and locations is good, but other sources should be used for more detail than that.
  7. I'm happy that you guys like it I've nearly fully filmed the second episode, and I'll edit it tomorrow. I may have it up tomorrow or on monday. I'll be aiming for 1 video every other day, or twice a week. Stay tuned and subscribe to make sure you see new episodes!
  8. That's what I was going for. I'm going to try and refine it a bit as I make more.
  9. What is it? KSC is an idea I came up with to tell a story with KSP. Seeing as making video was difficult (and slow FPS wise) I decided to make a hybrid comic instead. Some video is used, and I am able to add in dialogue without any issues. The first episode has taken about 6 hours of building, filming, editing and scripting. The series will follow a story, and when that story has ended a new series will be made with a new story. Can I get involved? Yes! Plot ideas and spacecraft would help me greatly. Any contribution will be credited, of course. First episode: Second Episode: Please post any suggestions here or in the comments.
  10. Those silhouettes look nice, looking forward to daytime pics
  11. This looks amazing, well done! I also find it very difficult to make replicas that actually work without infinite fuel or hack gravity, but art is almost never functional.
  12. Looks good, but it's not too impressive. I find that making a flyable stock replica of something like this shows a lot more skill.
  13. My opinion would be lack of education and the way society runs as a whole. Stuff that consumers prioritise makes the most money, and is then generally mass produced to fit to a certain demographics (Music, films etc etc...). However, there are growing environmental and social issues which need to be addressed, but aren't because nobody cares. I would agree that a better education would be the first step, but then to need to ensure that people aren't only intelligent, but think critically. Then the wider population will become more aware of the actual issues at hand, and something will be done about it. Space exploration is probably the most important thing behind education and healthcare. Once all that's in place, we should be well on our way to a Tier 1 Civilization
