    OK got an idea today. The part was below the origin and that was apparently what was causing the problem. Finally I can get to actually designing the parts now I know what was wrong with the mesh.

    For note I spent another half hour refining the node position. That\'s not the problem. However some in flight test show I\'ve got the engine aimed the wrong way. How did I do that and more importantly how do I fix it?

    I made thees Dae for a project I'm working but when I made them into parts they ship self distructs on alunch either blowing up or just falling apart. As a not I used the standard parts just to see if I could get the .dae files to work.

    As much as I'd like to claim I read your post, launched the game, made a rocket, put it in space, took a photo, edited it down, uploaded it online and posted it here in under 30 s, the truth is I was working on posting a photo before you commented. Never the less thanks for the interest.

    Thanks. I got a trial copy and made a few quick meshes that seems to be working well. I got to edit a texture and the cfg file some more but I've done all that before and it's simple enough.

    If you have any errors it won't load correctly. Double check your part.cfg file. I had the same error for forgetting 1 line of code. Now what's the thrust on your booster? You can actually damage your connections if it's too powerful and cause the rocket to fall apart catastrophically.

    I know it's just I got a copy and I'm pretty good with it. Like I said I've actually got training on it. A semester of a 3 year engineering program dedicated to the software.

    Anyone know how I could get a workable file from auto-desk inventor 10? I'm not really all that good with 3d modelers but I have actual training in auto cad and inventor.
