  1. Just after liftoff from our (unstable, thanks Jeb) landing spot on the Mun, the Kearth rose into view over the horizon. I call this one 'Kearthrise'
  2. By the way, she was very fast off the pad and very LOUD compared to shuttle launched. Rumbled for several minutes and shook our big north-facing picture window pretty majorly. (We're around 22 miles south of complex 41). I took video but it didn't come out (stupid phone).
  3. Atlas V with 5 solid boosters took off this afternoon, carrying NASA's Juno mission to Jupiter. Here's a shot from what I like to call the 'Auxiliary Launch Viewing Area', better known as my backyard:
  4. That's right, we live near the Kennedy Space Center which you might think would give me an edge in this game. Nope, I blow up those Kerbals as much as the next guy! This is a great way to expand interest in the space program, which sadly around here has gotten many folks depressed and out of work. If only there were some concrete mission to take the place of the Shuttle Program. All we know is that NASA is building a big rocket to go someplace. For now, we'll have to be content with trying to help the Kerbals realize their dream of going to space and not dying in the process. Thanks for making this wonderful program!
