After my hugely successful Vertibird http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/showthread.php/41128-Stock-Vertibird-VTOL?highlight=vertibird I was finding it hard to create a successor that matched the agility and balance of the Vertibird. Enter the mallard: a faster, even more agile plane. This thing will literally fly wherever you point the nose. No SAS is needed as the craft is perfectly balanced, but you have to be delicate with the controls sometimes! Thats so wierd. The other day i was designing exactly the same thing, which looked pretty much like this, although I couldn't get it off the ground very easily. Well done!

I've read all of universe replacers documentation, and I know how to replace the textures. I just can't seem to find the location for the textures anywhere. Can someone point me in the right directory please

Just gona add, don't take the panels off your tower. Removing the panels ruins the airflow around the case, which should be enclosed and have for example, intakes at the front, with air going through and hot exhaust air coming out the back extractor fan. With no case panels this airflow won't work, and may not be as cooling-efficient

Roll up roll up, this thread is dedicated to your ingenious creations for when your kerbals get bored of going into space. I want to see the most vomit inducing, nauseating, thrilling rides you can create. Rollercoasters, ferris wheels, spinning things, rocket rides, it all goes here! Ill start things off with 2 of my creations, which take advantage of the SAS modules to create spinning rides. The Spintwister This ride uses a ballbearing system and SAS modules to create a spinning plane ride for your little green friends! KAS is used for the cable connections from the ride to the mini aeroplanes with seats in them. Press 9 to decouple the bearing 2. 3 will lower your little planes to the ground so your kerbals can get in. 3. 1 will raise the planes ready to spin round 4. Make sure you are controlling the craft from the probe at the top! use Q and E to spin the ride The Vominatrix A ride for your Kerbals if they never want to walk again, the aptly named Vominatrix will spin your Kerbals till their eyeballs pop out. Turn on the brakes which allows the craft to roll along the floor 2. Load up your kerbals, make sure you are controlling the craft from the small cube shaped probe in the middle, then use Q and E to roll the craft around I look forward to seeing what crazy sadistic rides you can create for your kerbals!

You need to download the 0.21.1 patch which fixes the drifting SAS

Super agile and stable VTOL, its a pleasure to fly. 1 - toggle vertical engine 2- toggle lateral engine 3 - toggle antenna. to hover in style, of course.
