  1. i would just like to state that in the original ( discussion posted ) the mech jeb auto pilot get's refereed to a lot. I personally think that KSP dev's should have added an auto-pilot into the game from the very beginning. because as KSP moves towards more and more realistic features.

Imagine in real time now, if each and every one of us where rocket builders, and astronauts. Not one of us will leave the launch pad under manual control. Every vessel left our earth has been under the command of an auto-pilot, yes later in the flight that may take over manual control but that is for a minimal amount of time, because a computer error is 99% less likely than a human error.

also, I agree completely with original posting, every mod that has been created ( that I use ) is simply an addition to game play, making it more interesting, fun, experimental, & so much more. so for all of the people that say that mods are ' cheating ' , ' bad ' , ' boring ' , ' cheating ' , ' uninteresting ' & ' ruin game play '. I think that they are the boring, and do not realize the potential that the universe holds of only they ksp dev's could have added in 3/4 of the modding community it would make the game 200% better

This ends my contribution to this conversation.

    Cheers, Ryan.

  2. hello everyone my name is Ryan.

I have been playing ksp since its initial release, I have always loved space exploration, & travel. The crafts used to get us there!

& then I thought, hay if you gave anybody else my age the given materials I could build a rocket and leave earths orbit circum-navigate the moon in orbit, sling shot around and come back to earth. But that isn't going to happen, but what I could do is build a smaller sub-orbital " model " rocket.

I am just wondering if anybody on the forums here, would like me to upload photo's on progress / work I have done. But I also add that it will be a bit off a slow project ( as of the funding ) but it will be a fun science project. I would be happy to receive any input / advice too!

feel free to PM or just post a comment on here!!

    Cheers, Ryan!

  3. hello K^2, thank you for the input.

I am not planning on making an orbit, I do not believe that I have enough funding. If you would do the calculations, & could present it to me either in PM or just comment I would be happy to consider it.

    Cheers, Ryan.

  4. Oh god, I didn't see this mod! I have started making a Skylab looking mod veeery similar to this. It is a 6 meter diameter modular hull that can be branched into 4 quarter-pieces and each can be used for a specific purpose. I initially wanted to make just a way to store lots of fuel or spherified tanks, but then it grew into a modular system with hatches and an airlock

here you can see the hull with one quarter taken out, and cargo holds exposed. With one quarter exposed you are able to go into the central shaft and enter the space inside

do you have a download for this?

  5. hello, I am planning on making my propellant from solid fuel. I have a few very nice mixtures. I am yet to test which of the 3 works best, or if i can infuse all 3 to make a really powerful mix. and by sub orbital I am not really planning on anything to large. I was thinking that for my first attempt 1.5km - 2.5km high, with recovery. as I am planning on adding in altimeter & telemetry modules ( also enables me to deploy a drogue parachute and then a main chute at 500ft. then allowing me to upload the data to my computer to view flight data, speeds, e.t.c. and I have gotten authority from the government to build and launch this rocket as well. ( also the fact that I am adding an semi-automated recovery system, the government actually allows flights some how.. :)

  7. hey guys, i just put the toggle able ASAS plugin in, & also changed the part config back to default. I loaded KSP a window loaded saying that the part was missing.

I then continued to check the control tab and the MIIR ASAS was in there, I then created a vessel and put MIIR ASAS on it clicked launch.

the vessel loaded and another window popped up again saying invalid part.

I turned RCS on and controlled craft, the MIIR ASAS turned on and was active. despite all of the windows saying it was corrupted.

I am running latest version of KSP.

  8. Your "fix" just removed the toggle able ASAS functionality from the part, you know? The proper way is to download the required plugin.

hello Dragon1, could you please send me a link to the ASAS plugin then?

because changing the 5th line of code is the only way i have been able to launch ISS. also ALL of the other parts loaded but the MIIR ASAS ( on the first attempt with botched code. )

I am also running on the latest version of KSP,

  9. Got this from kerbalspaceport

I found this minor typo in the part.cfg and fixed it for myself. Here’s how to fix it.

Open the following file and edit:

    \GameData\BobCatind\Parts\SovietPack\MIR_ASAS\part.cfg

Line #5 is listed as: (incorrect)

    module = ToggleAdvSASModule

    Change it to:(correct)

    module=AdvSASModule

    Save, relaunch game.

    Hope it helps.

thank you so much! this has fixed it and now i have put a fully functional and amazing ISS at a perfect 120km orbit around kerbin!

thank you all again so much for all of your hard work and efforts in scripting, modeling, texturing, and everything that goes into this mod!

it truly is astonishing to see how so many people with such little knowledge of one another can band together to make possibly the best mod for the best space sim.

I really am so proud of all of the work that everyone has done!
